  • Which is it? The year of natural or supernatural gold? Good news – it’s on both calendars:

    • This means it’s both natural and supernatural

“A GOLDEN YEAR”

1) THIS IS THE YEAR OF GOD GRANTING THE POWER TO GAIN WEALTH AND OVERCOMING POVERTY

  • Deuteronomy 8:18 – “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
  • Golden age of Hollywood  means the glamorous age of holly wood (witches wand) because of the enormous amounts of money they spent on making it tinsel town. (Tin = dross, waste, worthless)

2) THIS IS A YEAR OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY

  • Golden years is a term that speaks of maturity – 65-85
    • 1 Corinthians 14:20 – Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.
    • 1 Corinthians 13:11 – When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
    • Ephesians 4:14-15 – So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
    • Hebrews 5:12-13 – For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.
    • 2 Peter 3:18 – But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
    • Hebrews 6:1-3 – Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.

3) THIS IS THE YEAR OF GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES AND KEYS OF ACESS

  • Isaiah 22:22 – “The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder. Then he shall open, and no one shall shut. And he shall shut, and no one shall open.”
  • God said He is going to give His people keys that will unlock unusual, unexpected, unprecedented and unhinged opportunities.
  • A year of knocking (using your favor)
  • A year of hearing Jesus knock (faith)

4) THIS IS THE YEAR OF DOING THINGS THAT MATTER – ENDURING WORKS

  • 1 Corinthians 3:12-14 – “Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare is, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.”

* Be purposed in your heart to be on the right team.

  • Put away childish things
  • Be connected and activated in the things that God has assigned you to

5) THIS IS THE YEAR OF TREATING PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED 

  • Luke 10:25-28 – And one day an authority on the law stood up to put Jesus to the test. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to receive eternal life?” 26 What is written in the Law?” Jesus replied. “How do you understand it?” 27 He answered, ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength and with all your mind.’(Deuteronomy 6:5) And, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ” 28” You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do that, and you will live.”

6) THIS IS THE YEAR OF BEING CROWNED

AND REWARDED

  • THE LORD WILL BLESS YOUR PURSUIT AND PUT A CROWN ON YOUR HEAD.
  • Psalms 21:1-3 – The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart’s desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. You have proffered him blessings of good things, you have set upon his head a crown of fine gold – Psalms 21:1-3

* Be determined to overcome

* Be determined to finish things and complete them with excellence

7) THIS IS THE YEAR OF THE MAJESTY OF THE KING IN YOUR LIFE – HIS KINGDOM COME 

* Gold is majesty

* Gold is manifest presence

* Gold is His divine nature

* Gold is his Kingdom come and His heart fulfilled in our lives!

* Gold is jubilee!

Hebrew symbols contain within them pictures and symbols to help us understand what God is saying.

  • 70 – AYIN – EYE OR SEEING WHAT GOD IS SAYING
  • 5779 is the last year – a culmination or fullness – of a decade “seeing” what God is saying.
  • 5780 will be marked with a “Pey” or mouth. It will be a decade of speaking and declaring the Kingdom into the earth.
  • 9 – TALET – SYMBOL OF SNAKE
    • This is the year of overcoming the snake – crushing him under your heel.
    • Remember, the curse was brought on by the snake. DO NOT TALK TO SNAKES!!
    • THIS IS THE YEAR TO IDENTIFY (SEE) THE SNAKE AND REMOVE COMPETING VOICES  OF INTERFERENCE

  • Proverbs 25:11-12 – A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver. Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.

  • Romans 10:17 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
  • Genesis 3:8 – They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

19 – FAITH

  • THE YEAR OF EXTRAORDINARY AND UNUSUAL FAITH
  • THERE ARE 19 PEOPLE LISTED IN HEBREWS CHAPTER 11 HALL OF FAME OF FAITH
  • The number nineteen and prophecy:
    • The Israelite tribe of Naphtali received 19 cities, with their villages, as part of their inheritance in the Promised Land (Joshua 19:38). Their gift of land, from God, was in the northern most part of what would become Israel. It encompassed the entire western section of the Sea of Galilee. 
    • Isaiah prophesied that the land of Naphtali and Zebulon would someday see a shining beacon in their lands (Isaiah 9:1 – 2). This prophecy, which only the book of Matthew records as being fulfilled, came true during the life of Jesus. Matthew states, “The people who were sitting in darkness have seen a great light; and to those who were sitting in the realm and shadow of death, light has sprung up.” (Matthew 4:16, HBFV)
  • EXTRAORDINARY FAITH AND THE MINISTRY OF JESUS:
  • NOBODY HAD EVER SEEN FAITH LIKE JESUS HAD. THIS IS THE YEAR GOD WANTS TO SEE THAT IN YOU!
  • THIS NEW KIND OF FAITH CAN ONLY COME FROM A NEW WAY OF HEARING GOD SPEAK.  THIS IS WHY WE KILL THE SNAKES IN OUR LIVES THIS YEAR AND RETURN OUR HEARTS TO THE VOICE OF GOD.

DELIVERANCE

The Bible lists nine kinds of deliverance

  1. From danger – 1Samuel 17:37 (See also Lk 8:23-24; 2Co 1:9-10; 2Ti 4:17)
  2. From illness – Psalms 103:3; Isa 38:16
  3. From trouble – Psalms 34:17,19; Ps 54:7
  4. From enemies – Jeremiah 38:10-13 (Da 6:19-22; Lk 1:74; 2Th 3:2)
  5. From Satan – Luke 13:16 (Lk 22:31-32)
  6. From the fear of death – Hebrews 2:14-15
  7. From all fears – Psalms 34:4 (Rev 1:17)
  8. From sin – Galatians 1:4 (See also Ps 32:7; 2Th 2:13; Rev 1:5)
  9. From the coming wrath – Luke 3:7 (1Th 1:10; 1Th 5:9)

Deliverance is also a word for giving birth to something.

  • It takes 9 months to have a baby.
  • What has been barren will actually give birth in the year 2019.
  • Where there has been no fruit, there will now be great fruit in 2019.

New Beginnings Conference Night 3 – Faith

FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD – Romans 10:17

The more you increase in the word, the more your potential to  increase in hearing. The more you increase in hearing, the more potential you have for greater faith.

GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOU, RIGHT NOW, A WORD THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.

It is a word in direct contrast to what the world is saying and we must develop a huge value for the voice of God.

A HIGHER VALUE HIS VOICE

Premise: Logic, a proposition supporting or helping to support a conclusion.

PREMISE 1 – GOD IS SPEAKING CLEARLY TO ALL OF US RIGHT NOW.

Every Christian can and must hear God speak prophetically.

PREMISE 2  – WITHIN EVERY WORD GOD GIVES TO HIS CHURCH CORPORATELY, THERE IS A  WORD FOR YOU INDIVIDUALLY.

The word of God is singular and plural at the same exact time.

Within every word that everybody has access to, coded within the DNA of that word, is AN INDIVIDUAL WORD SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU.

  • Or another example of plural/singular combination that doesn’t even use a pronoun is Matthew 5.8: Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
  • “the pure in heart” is both a singular and a plural noun and doesn’t even have a pronoun before it.
  • That’s not just how scripture works. That’s how the Word of God works.
  • With every corporate word there is something individually tailored for you, and when you receive it that word comes with a brand new power for break through. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church founded upon this rock.
  • For every personally tailored word that comes to you, when you give your testimony and preach your word to the masses, it will affect people differently at different levels. 

What did God speak to the seven churches in revelation?

What is God speaking to the church of America?

What did God speak to the world through the events of 9:11 or the Titanic?

What did God speak through the violent death of Princess Diana or the Steve Harvey debacle and the consequent Academy Awards?

God loves it when people become fanatics about hearing him and going after his heart.

Psalms 84:5 – Blessed is the man whose … heart is set on pilgrimage.


Luke 6:38 – “For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Matthew 5:6 – Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

PREMISE 3 – GOD IS NOT LIMITED TO THE VOICES THAT CARRY HIS WORD OR THE MEANS OF DELIVERY FOR HIS WORD.

God is not limited in any way whatsoever to any one form of delivery.

Thirteen ways God might be speaking to you now: 

  1. Through circumstances & timing     
  2. Through thoughts
  3. Counsel
  4. Cultural events
  5. Peace                              
  6. Supernatural manifestations
  7. People    
  8. The Bible
  9. Dreams & visions                
  10. A whisper
  11. Numbers
  12. The weights and measure of things
  13. Physics and science

GREAT EXAMPLE OF THIS:

  • The first Sunday of January there were 1919 people here.
  • The second Sunday there were 1919 people here.
  • The first night of the conference, the digits in the massive offering we took up were $43,249 add that and it is 19.
  • There were 818 people. That’s Deuteronomy 8:18 – God gives wealth and He is the keeper of covenants through our generations.

AND IN ORDER TO GET INTO DREAM INTERPRETATION WERE GOING TO HAVE TO GET INTO DISCERNING THE WORD OF GOD THROUGH MULTIPLE WATERS OF VOICES THAT CARRY THE WORD 

IF THAT WERE A DREAM, WHAT WOULD IT MEAN?

IN ORDER TO GET INTO THAT, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO LOOK AT THE HEAVENLY LANGUAGE OF SYMBOLS AND PARABLES.

AND IN ORDER TO LOOK IN THE SYMBOLS AND PARABLES, WE FIRST HAVE TO LOOK AT HOW GOD SPEAKS, AND WHY WE NEED TO DEDICATE OUR LIVES TO PURSUING HIS WORD AND GOING AFTER HIS HEART.

PREMISE 1  – GOD IS SPEAKING CLEARLY TO ALL OF US RIGHT NOW.

Every Christian can and must hear God personally speak to them. 

EVERYTHING ABOUT PROPHECY IS OFFENSIVE. 

Matthew 16:17-18 – Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

IT’S BEDROCK CHRISTIANITY.

One of the things that I can’t waste time about is the issue of if God is speaking or not.

God is speaking and its not the ceiling. It’s the floor. It is not the advanced part of walking with God. It is, in fact, a very FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLE 


Hebrews 6:1 – [The Peril of Not Progressing] Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God…

Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. Jeremiah 33:3

Amos 3:7 –Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. 8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

Numbers 11:29 – …would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets…

1 Corinthians 14:1, 31 & 39 – Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy… 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 39  Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy…

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

Mark 4:24 – And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.”

But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Luke 11:28

John 10:27 – My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Matthew 16:17

Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

The power to possess breakthrough comes from hearing the word of God.

The church whose foundation is built upon personal revelation of Jesus Christ by the mouth of God Himself is the church with breakthrough power.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the father.

YOUR ABILITY TO GET PAST THE ENEMY’S BARRIERS (the gates of hell)  IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO YOUR ABILITY TO HEAR GOD SPEAK. 

…and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

THAT DOESN’T JUST MEAN THE CHURCH IS INVADING HELL. It means Heaven is invading earth.

Hearing God speak and obeying what God is telling you gives you authority to bust through things.

Heaven really invades earth when we hear God speak and obey His voice.

I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU FIVE MISUNDERSTOOD AREAS THAT MUST BE CONFRONTED AND FIVE AREAS WE NEED TO HAVE WISDOM IN – THE FIVE OFFENSES OF HEARING GOD SPEAK:

1. JUST BECAUSE GOD IS SPEAKING DOES NOT MEAN YOU KNOW IT.

Job 33:14  – For God speaks once, yet twice, yet man perceives it not.

IF YOU HEARD GOD SPEAK DO YOU THINK THAT YOU WOULD KNOW IT?

      

Psalms 18:13  – The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

                

In 1 Kings 19, Elijah experienced an incredible wind, a violent earth quake and a horrific fire but he didn’t get scared until he heard the still, small voice.

God does speak in a whisper, but the conditions to hearing the still small voice is that you have to get still and you have to get small.

WE ARE JUST TOO BUSY AND TOO LOUD TO HEAR WHAT GOD IS  LITERALLY  BROADCASTING TO THE WHOLE WORLD.

Spiritual truths may be conveyed in everyday terms with which all are familiar.

In John chapter 12 …..SOME SAID IT THUNDERED

2. JUST BECAUSE YOU KNOW IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU UNDERSTAND IT.

Proverbs 25:2– It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Psalms 78:2 – I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

TERRIBLE PARABLES

THERE IS A BLESSING IN GETTING IT AND IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO SEEK JESUS, HE IS NOT Willing TO LET YOU IN ON THE BLESSING.

THE PRINCIPLE BEHIND PARABLES

Romans 1:20 – For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse…

REBELLION IS THE REASON GOD SPEAKS IN TYPES AND SHADOWS AND TYPOLOGY AND SYMBOLS

Take a good look at Matthew 13:13 and see why the Lord had to speak in parables then and why He still does today.

Matthew 13:13 – Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:13 (International Children’s Bible) – This is why I use stories to teach the people: They see, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really understand.

The word goes out to everybody, but the word is not for everybody.

DID YOU CATCH IT THAT ITS 13:13? THAT’S THE NUMBER FOR REBELLION.

  • The word rebel is found in 13 verses throughout the Bible.
  • Judas Iscariot has 13 letters
    There are 13 lepers in the Bible There are 13 drunks in the Bible The word carnal appears 13 times The word treason appears 13 times The word dragon appears 13 times
  • If you really want to see rebellion illustrated Biblically through the number 13, you need look no further than the 13 words in the 13th verse of the 13th Chapter of the very first book in the Bible.

Genesis 13:13 – But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

REBELLION IS WHEN YOU DEMAND THE BENEFITS OF THE KINGDOM WITHOUT THE KING

YOU LOVE THE THINGS THAT GOD OFFERS BUT YOU REFUSE TO LOVE GOD

REBELLION IS WHEN YOU SELF IDENTIFY INSTEAD OF CONFORM YOUR LIFE TO GODS TRUE IDENTITY OF WHO YOU ARE.

IT’S BECAUSE OF THAT GOD USES PARABLES, SYMBOLS, TYPES, SHADOWS, PICTURES, ALLEGORIES AND PROPHETIC PIECES THAT MUST BE CHARTED OUT ONE PIECE AT A TIME….

Allow God to speak in what ever arena He chooses.

We need to be able to recognize THE VOICE OF JESUS IN EVERYDAY LIFE   

Psalms 29:3 – The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters.

  • JOHN 12:28 GOD SPEAKS IN A THUNDER
  • God is not limited as to how he can speak, sometimes God whispers sometimes his whisper is at the volume of a thunder
  • We need to be willing and ready to hear speak through anything and ANYONE. This is a skillset.

Everything of faith is developmental.

Everything of faith is about maturing, stewarding and skill sets.

Shocking as this may be to some – just because we receive the Lord does NOT mean that: 
  • We automatically become a mature Christian
  • We are automatically skilled in the Word of Righteousness

Hebrews 5:13-14 – “For every one that uses milk is UNSKILLFUL in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe “… but strong meat belongs to them that are of a full age (mature), those who by PRACTICE (reason of use) have trained (exercised) their senses to be able to judge (discern) what is God (good) and what is not (evil).

Someone who is skillful  in discerning God’s word can tell the difference between the good word of God and the evil hurricane that the word of God is hidden in

Mark 4:24 –  And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.”

Pay attention to what you hear. If you are willing to hear in five languages, God will speak to you in five languages.

3. JUST BECAUSE YOU UNDERSTAND

IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT.

4. JUST BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU KNOW WHAT THE OUTCOME WILL BE.

5. JUST BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT THE OUTCOME WILL BE DOESN’T MEAN IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY HAPPEN. 

You are either partnering with the Holy Spirit or grieving the Holy Spirit

Being a Pastor means having lots of responsibilities.

  • a man of Prayer
  • a man dedicated to a life of Contemplation and Bound and determined to think God thoughts
  • Since I’m a teaching Pastor, a willingness to grow in communicating. I live my life like there is a story in everything and like I have a responsibility to tell that story.
  • A willingness to constantly learn
  • But many of those things are my responsibility as a Christian…
  • My main responsibility is not to do weddings, funerals, hospital visits and personal counseling. I like to do those things, but I just can’t anymore.
  • I have to be a team builder and I have to stay very connected to my team members and pour into their lives.
  • Psalm 68:11 – THE LORD GAVE THE WORD AND GREAT WAS THE COMPANY THAT PUBLISHED IT
  • I have to do a whole bunch of things I didn’t used to have to do but there is one thing I still have a huge responsibility for – one thing I must take very seriously and make sure I carry it out.
  • My main responsibility is to be the chief architect of the culture of the house.

As the Senior Leader and visionary here, I have to constantly upgrade and reevaluate what we make a big deal out of.

  • choosing to a be relational church
  • choosing to be a church that stands with the poor and actually does something about it
  • choosing to stand with Israel
  • choosing to be a light to the nations
  • choosing to be the kind of church that goes after encounters

Values define a team and agreement on what we make a big deal out of define the culture of our house.

  • We embrace the supernatural side of God.
  • We believe in the gifts and in the fruit of the Holy Spirit as a very present reality in our journey in Christ.
  • We want to make a deal out of the prophetic.
  • We want to to make a big deal out and have a huge value for a church that prepares and is made ready for the return of Jesus Christ.
  • WE ARE A PROPHETIC CHURCH THAT BELIEVES IN AND LOOKS FORWARD TO THE GLORIOUS AND IMMINENT RETURN OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Over the next  4 or 5 services we are going to be looking at what the Bible calls our “blessed hope.” Because we want to be a church that is watchful, a church that is ready and a church excited about the return of the greatest person ever.   

The position of our heart toward things matters in the Kingdom and qualifies us for supernatural upgrade.

I am going to be somebody who says, “Come quickly, Lord Jesus!” 

“I don’t want to learn about the end times because it’s too scary to contemplate.”

ANY PART OF YOUR LIFE THAT DOESN’T HAVE GREAT HOPE IS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A LIE.

1. You don’t have that luxury! You are part of the end times Church.

  • The challenge I have during this teaching is to absolutely convince you that these are the last days – the end times and that it’s a privilege to live in this day.
  • John Paul Jackson said the best of every blood line is on the earth at this time.
  • You are being trusted with this generation.
  • Romans 13:11 – “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.”
  • In other words, the closer we draw to the second coming of Christ, the more urgent it is that we awake out of spiritual sleep! Indeed, we have entered the fearful end-time years that are the grand climax of human civilization. If ever there was a time to pay attention and get prepared, it is now!

Being prepared for the assignment God has trusted us with should be a top priority.

  • 1 Peter 3:15 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness (gentleness) and fear (respect)…
  • Be gentle and respectful, but be confident of your hope.
  • The people who live in our day ARE instructed to be watchful.
  • Luke 21:28  – “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and be watchful, because your redemption draws near.”
  • Jesus brings very strong warnings to the church of our day about the perils of not be ready and prepared.
  • A big part of watching means being actively involved and engaged in this thing.
  • There is a grace for this … God gave us marvelous minds to use — to study, learn, observe, analyze, judge and think.

2. You are a warrior who plays a big part in all this.

  • The return of Jesus is not for wimps.
  • This day is not for wimps and no part of christianity is for wimps.
  • It is true that Jesus Christ is coming back for a bride but the bride that Jesus comes back for is not a frail and freaked out drama queen addicted to happy pills and emotional support groups.
  • Jesus is coming back for a warrior bride

Jesus doesn’t warn to scare us. He warns us to prepare us.

  • John 14:1-4 – “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
  • I am going to use this brief piece of scripture as my reference and talking point as I begin to step into the wonderful but very muddied waters of the glorious return of Jesus Christ.
  • There is a lot of biblical instruction when it comes to believing in the return of Jesus.
  • When it comes to Jesus coming back, the first thing Jesus instructs those of us who are his disciples.
  • Don’t let your heart be troubled…

It breaks God’s heart that we dread the second coming.

  • IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO BELIEVE, YOU KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE.
  • John 14:1-2  – “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.”
  • If you don’t know how to believe, you know who to put your trust in. Then he says, “You already know the way…”
  • John 14:5-6 – Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

THE WAY: “The course and how things go on the course.”

  • IT MIGHT BE TRUE THAT YOU DON’T KNOW THE MECHANICS OF EXACTLY HOW EVERYTHING WORKS BUT YOU KNOW EXACTLY HOW THINGS GO WHEN JESUS SHOWS UP BECAUSE JESUS HAS ALREADY SHOWN UP FOR YOU OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
  • When times are uncertain, JESUS IS NOT.
  • Psalms 34:8 – Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!                                
  • Tasting is all about personal experience and trusting is all about believing you will not get into trouble for trying.
  • We must be willing to smell the savor of things unexperienced in Christ, instead of holding our nose for the parts of God that are much more common. 
  • We learn to trust God in things we have not experienced by looking at what we have experienced in Jesus
  • When we forget we are supposed to look forward, we settle for what others have experienced.  We assume no responsibility for knowing God’s heart today.
  • We become Bible thumpers instead of Heart listeners. We learn the culture of our denominations instead of the ways of God. 
  • You know how things go when Jesus shows up for you.
  • You know the ways of God.
  • You don’t just know what Jesus does, but you know how He does things.
  • Psalms 103:7 – He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel.

The dual nature of “The Wedding and the War”

1. The great and terrible day of the Lord

2. The “catching away” and the great return of the King

  • The thief in the night (nobody sees Him)
  • The heavens are peeled back. Jesus enters into the atmosphere with a mighty shout and a trumpet blast. Every eye sees Him.

The reason for the dual nature of the end times: choice.

  • Judgment and reward

The end times world

  • WHEN WE TALK ABOUT THE END TIMES AND THE CONDITION OF THE WORLD RIGHT BEFORE JESUS COMES BACK, WE SEE SO MUCH IS WRITTEN ABOUT A BIG, TERRIBLE MESS.
  • Daniel’s vision of the end times: “A PERFECT STORM”
    • Daniel 7:2-3 – Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea.”
      • Like a hurricane … a perfect storm from everything global, the four beasts from the north, south, east and the west.
  • There is a progressive intensity in everything you can imagine that will continue to progress until Jesus Himself comes back to put a stop to it. Birth pains.

BIRTH PAINS AND ACCELERATION

  • The principles of accelerated time frames belongs to you. Wisdom and the counsel of God is for you to understand –  that the 50s are not returning to America. The new normal is increased major malfunctions.
  • There is also a new level of anointing, a new level of intense outpouring of God’s grace and manifest Glory that answers this present darkness with the goodness of God.

THE PRINCIPLE OF ABOUNDING GRACE

“Where sin abounds, grace does much more abound.”

  • Abounding: growing in abundant supply
  • In a quick Google search, I found at least eight verses in the new testament that clearly state this principle – seven are from Paul and one from James – Romans 5:15, 5:17, 5:20 and so on.
  • You have a grace for the hell you have to fight in the day you are living in and in the day to come.
  • You can focus on the hell that is coming or you can focus on the glorious hope of Jesus being the ultimate answer.
  • You don’t need the Bible to tell you sickness, natural disasters, racial and social unrest is increasing and global unrest is producing unanswerable trouble and conflict. You can watch the news.
  • Within a very short amount of time, in a span of a few months, the abortion movement in the United States has gone from early term abortion to late term abortion to “you can still murder the child during labor” all the way to “even after the child is born we can still terminate the pregnancy” – meaning murder a fully-born baby if they can talk the mama into it and call it reproductive health.
    • Isaiah 5:20  – Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness…

NO AVOIDING THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD

  • Can only choose which side you’re on.
  • You can avoid it in the Bible if you want to, but you can’t avoid it in the day we live in!
  • So, if you saying, “I’m not really into the whole end times thing –  You are already in it!
  • The bad in this world is increasing and it’s not going to stop.
  • The evil in this world is increasing and it’s not going to stop.
  • You don’t just talk about the trouble in the earth. You talk about the great end time revival and the return of King of Jesus.
  • You don’t just talk about the end time revival and the power of the Holy Spirit. You also talk about the reality of all hell breaking loose.
  • Matthew 24:13 – But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

WHEN TALKING ABOUT END TIMES

  • KEEP IT POSITIVE BUT ALSO KEEP IT ACCURATE!
  • Matthew 24:12 – And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
  • “KEEP IT POSITIVE BUT KEEP IT ACCURATE” is exactly how we should be living in every single part of our life. 
  • Know the truth of what the word of God says about the great and the terrible day of the Lord – about the wedding and the war, and the return of Jesus.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED

  • The narrative matters. You need to know what the biblical narrative says.
  • The greatest threat of the end times is not all the hell that is happening in the world. The greatest threat in the end times is deception!
  • Matthew 24:4 – When will these things happen and what will be the sign of the coming of the end of the age? Jesus answered see to it that no man deceives you. 
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:3 – Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition…
  • Mark 13:22 – …for false christs and false prophets will arise to do signs and wonders to lead astray if possible the elect…

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

1) Learn who Jesus is. Read the red letters. Be fascinated with the character and the person of Jesus and who He is to you.

2)  Learn your identity in Christ. Learn who you are to Him.

3)  Put on the mind of christ

  • Colossians 3:2 – …set your mind on things above, not on earthly things. 
  • 1 Corinthians 2:16 – for who has known the mind of the Lord that He may instruct them but we have the mind of Christ

4)  Put on the helmet salvation from Ephesians 6:17.

5)   Learn the biblical narrative of the end times.

THE WEDDING AND THE WAR 3: Looking for the Day

  • God gave you time. And time is gift that God has given everyone.
  • Time is something that can be measured, numbered and predicted by common people. Time is an environment God created for our sakes and we need to understand time in order to partner with His purposes for us. 
  • Time is a blessing for the redeemed and a curse for God’s haters. It owns everything that isn’t kingdom and is a valuable tool for the purposes of the redeemed and the Redeemer. Scripture tells us God gives and God takes away. When it comes to time, we need to know the prophetic value of time before we step into eternity.

When people are in synch with God’s heart, they get into synch with God’s timing.

  • God said, “Surely the sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing it to His servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7
  • God said “nothing,” and He did not exclude Christ’s return. I take Him at His word.

God not only knows the end from the beginning, He tells us that He makes it known!

  • Isaiah 46:10 – “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.”
  • He has already made it known! I personally believe it has been hidden in His Word all along, to be unlocked in His timing.  There is nothing wrong with seeking!  No doubt, it pleases God.
  • Isaiah 48:5 – I have even from the beginning declared it to you; before it came to pass I showed it to you.
  • Jesus said the Holy Spirit “will teach you all things.” – John 14:26
  • He said “all things.” Did Jesus make a mistake, forgetting to exclude when He will return? I don’t think so.

Friends confide in one another.

  • Abraham was called God’s “friend.” (Isaiah 41:8; James 2:23)
  • Genesis 18:17 – And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do.
  • Now, because of Jesus’ atonement, we are called friends of God:
  • John 15:15 – “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends.”
  • The Bible also says that Jesus was crucified so that the blessing of Abraham, part of which was friendship with God, would come upon the Gentiles — us (Galatians 3:14).

FORESHADOWING THINGS TO COME

  • Ecclesiastes 1:9 – What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. 
  • Many Bible students believe that ancient events and dating in the Bible are shadows and clues that foretell the coming of the Lord, even the timing.  An example is the six days of creation, seen as 6,000 years of man’s dominion over the earth, before the return of the Lord and the seventh, or Sabbath Millennium of peace, with Christ ruling in Jerusalem.  According to scholars, we are now at the end of 6,000 years since Adam.
  • There are other such passages. God clearly promised that we would know at least approximately when Christ will return, and even “the day” will not surprise us, as the Holy Spirit reveals through Paul!
    • He gave Noah advance notice of when the flood would be (Genesis 6,7).
    • He told Abraham how long the Israelites would be in Egypt (Genesis 15:13).
    • He revealed to many the very day of Elijah’s rapture (2 Kings 2).
    • He told Jeremiah how long the Babylonian exile would be (Jeremiah 29:10).
    • He told Daniel exactly when Messiah would come the first time (Daniel 9:25-26).

MISSING THE MARK

  • There were many alive during the first appearance of Jesus who totally missed it.
  • Bethlehem may have had more than 10,000 people run it at the time that Jesus was born and only a handful of people knew anything about the greatest promise ever made being fulfilled just feet away and out of their view. 
  • Matthew 23:37 – “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.”
  • See, when Jesus was on trial before Herod and Pontius Pilate, he was not the one on trial. Everybody else who was there was actually on trial. Did they recognize the timing and the appearance of Christ? 

ARE YOU LOOKING?

  • The day of His appearance is also a judgment-based on whether you are expecting Him or not.
  • 1 Peter 2:12 – Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
  • It says that you don’t want to miss your day of visitation and some translations say inspection. The litmus test for where your heart is and the thing that God will inspect is to do you know the timing go His appearance. 
  • Just the question — when? — causes some Christians to cringe, protest, or even scoff! They quickly point out that Jesus said,
  • Matthew 24:36 – But of that day and hour knoweth no man.
  • Some believers criticize other believers who are seeking God’s clues, either from the Scriptures or by personal revelation. It is interesting that it was apparently by personal revelation, not Scripture, that many people knew the exact day of Elijah’s rapture in 2 Kings!  Are there types in the Old Testament?  Do God’s principles repeat themselves?
  • As evidence, many other Scriptures reveal to us that God will reveal at least the approximate time. Even if the “day and hour” restriction is literally valid today, it may be because the Earth is in 24 time zones and always in two different days.
  • Jesus also said, “but my Father only” knows, which pins the statement to His hearers at the time, when Jesus was still on the earth, because surely there are now no secrets in the Trinity between the Father and the glorified Son, who are truly One.
  • Also, in context, He seems to be speaking of heaven and earth passing away (v. 35), not other end-time events. In addition, Jesus said,
    • Revelation 3:3 – If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
  • It is clear that Jesus will not come as a “thief in the night” for watchful believers, because in the very same passage, verse 4, Paul tells us,
    • 1 Thessalonians 5:4 – But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.
  • Jesus rebuked those who did not understand the signs of the times in His day:
    • Matthew 16:3 – O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern the signs of the times.
  • Of the end of the age, Jesus said,
    • Luke 21:28 – And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

THE FEASTS OF THE LORD

The Spring feasts have already been fulfilled.

1. Passover — Pointed to the Messiah as our passover lamb whose blood would be shed for our sins. Jesus was crucified on the day of preparation for the Passover, at the same time that the lambs were being slaughtered for the Passover meal that evening.

2. Unleavened Bread — Pointed to the Messiah’s sinless life, making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Jesus’ body was in the grave during the first days of this feast, like a kernel of wheat planted and waiting to burst forth as the bread of life.

3. First Fruits — Pointed to the Messiah’s resurrection as the first fruits of the righteous. Jesus was resurrected on this very day, which is one of the reasons that Paul refers to him in I Corinthians 15:20 as the “first fruits from the dead.”

4. Harvest or Pentecost — (Called Shavuot today.) Pointed to the great harvest of souls, both Jew and Gentile, that would come into the kingdom of God during the Church Age. The Church was actually established on this day when the Messiah poured out the Holy Spirit and 3,000 souls responded to Peter’s first proclamation of the Gospel.

The long interval of three months between Harvest and Trumpets pointed to the current Church Age, a period of time that was kept as a mystery to the Hebrew prophets in Old Testament times.

THE FALL FEASTS

That leaves us with the three fall feasts which are yet to be fulfilled in the life and work of the Messiah. Because Jesus literally fulfilled the first four feasts and did so on the actual feast days, I think it is safe to assume that the last three will also be fulfilled and that their fulfillment will occur on the actual feast days. We cannot be certain how they will be fulfilled, but my guess is that they most likely have the following prophetic implications:

5) Trumpets — (Called Rosh Hashana today.) Points to the Rapture when the Messiah will appear in the heavens as a Bridegroom coming for His bride, the Church. The Rapture is always associated in Scripture with the blowing of a loud trumpet (I Thessalonians 4:13-18 and I Corinthians 15:52)

6) Atonement — (Called Yom Kippur today.) Points to the day of the Second Coming of Jesus when He will return to earth. That will be the day of atonement for the Jewish remnant when they “look upon Him whom they have pierced,” repent of their sins, and receive Him as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10 and Romans 11:1-6, 25-36).

7) Tabernacles — (Called Sukkot today.) Points to the Lord’s promise that He will once again tabernacle with His people when He returns to reign over all the world from Jerusalem (Micah 4:1-7).

Jesus will come back for the rapture of the church at the feast of trumpets  and no man knows the day or the hour because you cant know the day or the hot because it variable from year due to the appearance of the moon

Many in my generation of evangelicals have held dispensational eschatological chart-drawing in such derision that we have been virtually paralyzed in our study of prophecy. For two generations, perhaps, we have failed to study prophecy with anything like the rigor that it deserves. We have been so afraid of being viewed as one of those Zionist, right-wing, antichrist-sniffing, culture-denying, alarmist left-overs from the Scofield prophecy conference era that we give hardly any energy to putting the prophetic pieces together — at least not in public.

So my prophecy is that younger evangelicals who take the Bible seriously will start to feel like the paralysis of my generation was an overreaction to prophetic studies; Chris Tomlin and others will write more worship songs about the second coming; and younger scholars will not be embarrassed to write doctrinal dissertations on Daniel 9 and Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians 2, unintimidated by the academic scorn of futuristic possibilities.

  • 1 Corinthians 3:5-15 – Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
  • Fire is passion. Passion is zeal.

JUDGMENT IS NOT ALWAYS NEGATIVE

  • Hebrews 9:27 – It is appointed to man to die once, then the judgment.
  • Judgment is where God confronts and punishes evil.
    • Eliott Ness has to make a stand against Al Capone.
    • Melvin Purvis has to chase down John Dillinger.
    • Frank Hammer has to rise up and deal with Bonnie and Clyde.
    • Seal Team Six and Robert J. O’Neil have to take out Bin Ladin.

  • Rewards: Rewards express how Jesus feels about our love for Him in this life and about our having worked closely with Him in what He calls “precious.” Rewards are not about superiority over others.
    • Matthew 16:27 – “The Son of Man will come…He will reward each according to his works.”
  • Jesus remembers every small act of love, even giving someone a cup of water.
    • Matthew 10:42 – “Whoever gives…only a cup of cold water…he shall by no means lose his reward.”

JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST

  • Paul gave us important details about our most important appointment  – the Judgment Seat of Christ.
    • 1 Corinthians 3:8, 11-15 – Each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor…11 No other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear…it will be revealed by fire… 14 If anyone’s work…endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved.
  • Jesus called us to buy gold by developing our relationship with Him and obeying Him. We “buy gold” by making choices that express our love to Jesus through our obedience to Him (John 14:15).
    • Revelation 3:18 – “I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich.”

“The fear of the Lord”

  • Love what God loves. Hate what God hates.
  • Be passionate about what God is passionate about.
  • Celebrate what God celebrates.

Revelation 22:12 – “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Matthew 16:27 – “The Son of Man will come…He will reward each according to his works.”

Hebrews 9:27 – It is appointed to man to die once, then the judgment.

All judgement isn’t negative.

  • We all know and recognize judgment where God confronts and punishes evil.

Did you know there is judgment where God evaluates and rewards?

  • Romans 14:10-12 – We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ…12 Then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
  • Rewards: Rewards express how Jesus feels about our love for Him in this life and about our having worked closely with Him in what He calls precious. They are not about superiority over others.
  • Believers differ from one another in the measure of glory expressed in the rewards they receive.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:41-42 – …for one star differs from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead.
  • Eternal rewards are given in varying measures. Believers will differ from one another in the measure of God’s glory expressed in and through them. Thus, each will have a varying measure of God’s glory in their garments according to how they lived (Rev. 19:8). The realm of “the resurrection” includes more than our body. It includes garments, thrones, crowns, and more.

NOT ALL ARE EQUAL IN HEAVEN

  • The lifestyle of some in the kingdom will be called “least,” while some will be called “great” (Mt. 5:19).
  • Matthew 5:19 – “Whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments… shall be called least in the kingdom… but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom”
  • Eternal rewards are glorious beyond anything that we can imagine.
  • 1 Corinthians 2:9 – “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
  • We must be careful not to reduce eternal rewards to something that we can easily imagine. They are go along with the glory of the King and the eternal city; they are befitting of royalty and express His beauty. The glory of the daughter in Psalm 45 is symbolic of the Bride of Christ.

GARMENTS OF REWARD

  • Jesus imparts beauty to His people in various ways, including heavenly garments (Isa. 61:1-3). Moses prayed for God’s beauty to be seen on God’s people (Ps. 90:17). Isaiah spoke of putting on beautiful garments (Isa. 52:1) and compared them to a bride adorning herself
  • There are eight references in Revelation concerning “spiritual garments” (Rev. 3:4-5, 18; 4:4; 6:11; 7:9, 13; 19:8, 14).
  • Heavenly garments will be given according to the saints’ obedience and righteous acts (Rev. 19:8). Each believer will receive clothing that expresses the quality of their devotion to Jesus in this life.
  • Isaiah 61:10 – He has clothed me with the garments of salvation…as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
  • Isaiah 61:1-3 – “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me…to give them beauty for ashes.”
  • Psalms 90:17 – Let the beauty of the LORD…be upon us, and establish the work of our hands.
  • Isaiah 52:1 – Awake…Put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments.
  • Revelation 19:7-8 – …and His wife has made herself ready. 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:41-42 – …for one star differs from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead.
  • Note the difference in radiance and brightness.
  • You will literally be clothed in how you loved Jesus in this lifetime!!!

CROWNS

  • The eternal rewards that Jesus will give will include crowns that believers may obtain. (1 Cor. 9:25; Phil. 4:1; 1 Thess. 2:19; 2 Tim. 4:8; Jas. 1:12; 1 Pet. 5:4; Rev. 2:10; 3:11).
  • Revelation 3:11 – Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
  • Receiving a heavenly crown is not synonymous with receiving the gift of eternal life that is freely given to all believers by faith, based on what Jesus did for us. Crowns are given in addition to receiving the gift of salvation and are based on how we respond to Jesus’ leadership in this age.

TWO GREEK WORDS FOR CROWNS

  • The crown of a ruler – Greed word “diadema”
    • This indicates political authority over a region. Our word diadem comes from diadema and speaks of the power to rule. Diadema is the word used for the crown worn by the dragon (Satan; Rev. 12:3), the beast (the Antichrist; Rev. 13:1), and by Christ (Rev. 19:12).
  • The crown of a victory – Greek word “stephanos”
    • A stephanos was given as a prize in athletic games to honor victorious athletes; it is parallel to receiving a gold, silver, or bronze medal in the Olympic Games today. This crown denotes victory (Mt. 27:29; Mk. 15:17; Jn. 19:2, 5; 1 Cor. 9:25; Phil. 4:1; 2 Tim. 2:5; 4:8; 1 Thes. 2:19; Heb. 2:7, 9; Jas. 1:12; 1 Pet. 5:4; Rev. 2:10; 3:11; 4:4, 10; 12:1; 14:14).

Three different kinds of crowns in Bible

  • The Crown of Life: This promise is for any who stay faithful to Jesus in temptation and persecution. Those who refuse to give up in resisting temptation and the fear associated with persecution will receive this crown. It is the only crown that is described twice in Scripture.
    • James 1:12 – Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved [found consistent], he will receive the crown of life…promised to those who love Him.
    • Revelation 2:10 – “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison. be faithful unto death and I will give you the Crown of life.”
  • The Crown of Righteousness:This is about character development and serving God in your character.
    • 2 Timothy 4:8 – …there is…for me the crown of righteousness…[and] all who have loved His appearing.
  • The Crown of Glory: Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory. This crown is promised to anyone who diligently serves in and cares for the church. It’s also for how you serves the people the lord has assigned to you. Service is to be done “eagerly” in nurturing, serving, caring for, and feeding God’s people. Crowns are given to those who labor with a servant spirit and with eagerness.
    • 1 Peter 5:1-4 – I exhort [elders]…shepherd the flock of God…serving…not by compulsion but…eagerly… and when the

Crowns are referred to three times without a descriptive title (1 Cor. 9:5, Rev. 3:11; 4:8).

  • The 24 elders in heaven wear victors’ crowns (stephanos), not a king’s crown (diadema), because they were victorious over temptations. The elders cast their crowns before God as their “love gift” to Him. Their crowns express the reward they received for costly obedience in this life.
  • Revelation 4:4, 10 –  I saw twenty-four elders sitting…and they had crowns of gold on their heads…10 The 24 elders fall down…and cast their crowns before the throne.
  • The fact that some cast their crowns at His feet doesn’t mean that the crowns remain on the ground for millions of years. When they see God’s extravagant generosity in giving a crown as a reward for their “weak obedience,” they cast it at His feet, overcome with gratitude, love, and humility.
  • We can lose our crown by letting teachers seduce us with deceptive doctrines of grace. When Jesus exhorted us not to let anyone take our crown, He did not mean they could take our salvation.

Keep it positive but keep it accurate.

Revelation 3:11 – Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown [stephanos].

IF YOU ARE GOING TO FOLLOW JESUS, HE IS GOING TO TAKE YOU TO SCHOOL. 

  • If you are a disciple of Jesus, that means that you are a pupil in His school and you are going to remain teachable for the rest of your life because you are going to follow Jesus for the rest of your life.
  • Be teachable. Successful people are teachable. 
  • Don’t be hard-headed. Don’t be hard-hearted.
  • Judge yourself and if you are not teachable, become teachable.
  • 1 Corinthians 11:31 – For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged…

A HEART DEDICATED TO JESUS IS THE KEY TO KNOWING THIS BOOK.

A huge part of having a heart committed to learning Christ is a heart committed to the book written by Him which testifies of Him.  (John 5:38 says that)

  • John 5:45 – Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures…
  • The study of scripture is to connect our hearts to the One who works wonders.
  • The reason it’s called a Bible is because the word Bible comes from the Greek word “biblios” which means  “the book.” So, what is the book?

BIBLE: BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH

  • The Bible contains knowledge, wisdom, the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of the sinner and the happiness of the believer.
  • It’s packed full of blessings and curses, suggestions and commandments. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. It contains food to support you and comfort to cheer you.
  • It is also a light to guide you.
  • God was 2,300 years getting ready to write it – 1,600 years in the making and has spent 1,900+ years fulfilling it.
  • This book, combined with the power of the Holy Spirit, changes lives, changes families, changes lifestyles, changes society, nations and entire generations.

When people get dedicated to finding the heart of the author of this book, things change.

  • Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day
  • Not the beginning of God, but the beginning of the universe where you and I live.
  • GOD IS OVER ALL THINGS BUT HE IS NOT MANIFEST AND PERSONALLY INVOLVED IN ALL THINGS.
    • THIS IS THE PRINCIPLE OF THE KINGDOM
  • There are many things God is patiently waiting to be personally involved in.
  • Luke 6:20 – “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.”
  • Revelation 11:15  – The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
  • Colossians 1:12-13 …giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves…

GENESIS 1

  • “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep” – three conditions of any world where Jesus Christ is not involved in: WITHOUT FORM, VOID, DARKNESS
    • “WITHOUT FORM” – LIGHT SHOWS UP AS ORDER
      • Definition of “without form” –  an authoritative direction a condition in which each thing is properly disposed with  harmonious arrangement:
    • “VOID”  – LIGHT SHOWS UP AS LIFE
      • Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God has put eternity in man’s heart.

WHAT IS LIGHT?

  • LIGHT IS WHEN GOD SHOWS UP AND ACTUALLY INTERJECTS HIMSELF INTO A SITUATION.

  • Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God has put eternity in man’s heart.
  • THERE IS SOMETHING ETERNAL WITHIN YOU THAT CAN ONLY BE ANSWERED BY ETERNAL LIFE.
  • DARKNESS: THE DARK IS NO MATCH FOR LIGHT
  • Darkness can never master light.

This symbol, commonly seen on necklaces and other jewelry and ornaments, is simply the Hebrew word Chai (living), with the two Hebrew letters Cheit and Yod attached to each other. Some say it refers to the Living God; others say it simply reflects Judaism’s focus on the importance of life. Whatever the reason, the concept of chai is important in Jewish culture. The typical Jewish toast is l’chayim (to life). Gifts to charity are routinely given in multiples of

22 LIGHT

  • The Hebrew alphabet is made up of 22 letters, which are used to compose the Word of God. The word of God is called a lamp (Psalms 119:105, Proverbs 6:22), thus it is the light by which we are to live. The word light is found 264 times in Scripture. (12 X 22)
  • God created 22 things in the six days of creation.
  • Light is used 22 times in the Gospel of John.
  • The 22nd time John uses the word, he quotes Jesus: “I have come as a light into the world . . .” (John 12:46).
  • Christians are to walk in the light of Christ (John 3:21), and be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-15).
  • The 22nd word in the Bible when counting the Hebrew words, is “a light”

  • GENERAL RELATIVITY IS JUST HOW THIS SYSTEM WORKS.
  • ISSAC NEWTON CALLED IT “THE THEORY OF MECHANICS.”

RAGING AGAINST THE MACHINE

THINGS LINE UP IN  A CERTAIN WAY

  • Psalm 16:6 – The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance.
  • Tapping into my inheritance is about agreeing with what God has lined up for me.
  • The devil’s line up is a machine.
  • Man against the machine.
  • There is a machine that human beings have to deal with. THE MACHINE IS THE SYSTEM, the economic and cultural, NATIONAL, SOCIAL AND RELIGIOUS structures we all live in. 

The machine is cause and effect.
The machine is you reap what you sow.

The machine is an eye for an eye .

The machine is for every action there is a reaction. 

The machine is the system of checks and balances that make sure things turn out in a certain way.

  • If the enemy can get you to live according to the machine, he will eventually kill you with it.   
  • Blind mechanical, impartial – it’s the way it is and just like the Terminator, it is relentless in coming after you.
  • It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

The machine says if your poor you can’t live life like other people.

The machine says if you’re a minority you can’t have opportunity.

The machine says if you made bad grades, you can’t further your education.

The machine says if you have been incarcerated everyone will always see you as a convict.

The machine says if your father was alcoholic you will be an alcoholic.

The machine says if you were molested then you will become a pedophile.

The machine says if you’re above the age of 40 nobody will hire you.   

The machine says if you don’t have insurance you can’t get health care.

The machine says if you’ve made bad mistakes it’s too late.

The machine says if you live in a bad neighborhood your kids are going to do drugs.

The machine says if you got pregnant before you were married your kids will do the same thing.

JUST LIKE THE SPEED OF LIGHT, THESE ARE PRINCIPLE MECHANICS

  • JUST LIKE IN THE LAWS OF PHYSICS, THE MACHINE IS CONSTANT AND DOESN’T CHANGE EXCEPT AS WE HAVE LEARNED IN SPECIAL RELATIVITY… EXCEPT FOR SPECIAL CASES.
  • Everything is moving relative to everything else.
  • General relativity vs. special relativity because it applies only to special cases
  • EINSTEIN’S THEORY OF RELATIVITY BASICALLY SAYS RELATIONSHIP TRUMPS THE MACHINE
  • You can first see it in the laws of the universe

The First Law: The Greatest Commandment

Mark 12:30 – “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”

RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD CHANGES YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE RULES.

IN THE KINGDOM, GOD LOVES RESTORATION MORE THAN PUNISHMENT

  • The laws of the universe say I am rebellious against God  but the higher law of relationship with God through Jesus Christ says I am the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ.
  • The machine says I’m filthy, but my relationship with Jesus says I am clean.
  • John 15:3 – Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
  • The rules say if I don’t have tons of money in the bank then I am poor.  But according to the infallible rules of relationship with God through Jesus Christ, I am rich with the inexhaustible riches of Heaven.
  • Alone and by myself, the machine tells me I’m a loser and easily defeated, but because of relationship in Christ, JESUS TELLS ME I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR 

                               

Relationship trumps the machine

If I let anything other than my relationship with Him take priority, then the machine wins. If I let relationship take priority over everything then LIFE WINS.

   EVERYTHING IN THE KINGDOM IS RELATIONAL                                         

  • Religion must never replace relationship.
  • Service must never be a substitute for intimacy.
  • Work must never replace worship.
  • Ministry to the people should never be a substitute for ministry to the Lord. 

  

INTIMACT: IN-TO-ME-SEE

Ephesians 3:17  – …that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

WALKING IS THE BIBLICAL TERM FOR LIVING LIFE FORWARD.

THERE IS ALWAYS A FIGHT IN THE WALK.

There is always a fight for forward.

I hope I can  encourage you in your hope that there is something better in every part of your life that is found in Jesus.

I want to tell you it is not treason to search out the endless heart of this Creator and to go after Him. You are not stupid for wanting better things.

There are promises in need of adoption, innovation and ideas desperate to be discovered. There are dreams to be realized and passions to be pursued. Vision is exploding anew to be mapped out and legacy is being permanently laid down. I think God wants you and I to be neck deep in in moving forward. That’s what victorious Kingdom living is all about.

So, the biblical term for forward progression is sometimes, on a grand scale, seen as journey but it is always displayed and demonstrated on a small scale through the metaphor of “walking.”

It is often figuratively used to denote a man’s mode of life, or his spiritual character, course, and relations, Ezekiel 11:20. He may walk as a carnal or as a spiritual man, Romans 8:1; with God, or in ignorance and sin, Genesis 5:24, 1 John 5:21; in the fire of affliction, Isaiah 43:2; or in the light, purity, and joy of Christ’s favor here and in heaven, Psalm 89:15, Revelation 3:4.

The book of Psalms starts off like this:

Psalms 1:1 – Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful…

Your walk is how you live and who you walk with is determined by who influences you.

That’s why we are told to walk in the truth, to walk in His judgements and to walk in His ways.

Psalm 116:9

I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

Paul has a lot to say about how we move forward in life. In fact, out of the 412 verses in the Bible that tell us how to walk, 36 of them are penned by Paul himself.

Some of my favorites y’all might recognize are:

2 Corinthians 5:7– For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Galatians 5:16 [Walking in the Spirit] – I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:25 – If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Colossians 2:6 – As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord,

so walk in Him…

So, by the time Paul gets to the 5th chapter in his amazing discourse to the Ephesians, he tells how to walk.

Walk in Light

Ephesians 5:8-14 – For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather [c]expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are [d]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

The believer in God’s gospel is justified by faith alone. But God’s gospel never concludes with justification.

  • This process of changing the justified believer’s life-style into the saintly character of Christ Himself is called sanctification. Sanctification means to be set apart for a holy purpose.

    • We partner with God in changing our THINKING, FEELINGS & ACTIONS

God: The unchangeable God

  • Jesus the rock
  • He doesn’t change his behavior to match ours.
  • James 1:17  – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
  • The first thing we learn from this verse is that the father side of God is the giving side of God.

GOD THE GIVER

There is a beautiful scene near the end of “The Agony and the Ecstasy,” Irving Stone’s historical novel about Michelangelo. An ailing Pope Julius II visits the nearly completed ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo has to help him up the last few rungs of the ladder. He looks above him at Michelangelo’s depiction of God, about to impart the gift of life to Adam. The pope had fought many wars in the name of the church. He has blood on his hands, and he isn’t even sure if his cause had been successful. But as he looks at Michelangelo’s picture of God, a smile comes to his cracked lips.

“Do you truly believe God is that benign?” the pope asks the artist.

Michelangelo: “Yes, Holy Father.”

Pope Julius: “I most ardently hope so, since I am going to be standing before him before long. If he is as you have painted him, then I shall be forgiven my sins.”

In Michelangelo’s painting, the pope saw an image of God unlike the one he had lived with his whole life. This God wasn’t killing life; he was giving life. This God was a giver, even in the face of his sins. Our God is a giver, even in the face of our complaints against him.

God is, in fact, the greatest of all givers.

  • I’m not just talking about how God has given us the world.
  • Psalm 115:16 – “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.”
  • Luke 11:13  – “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

How can we not love the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

  • Romans 6:23 – “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
    Now when you get to trying to describe the gift that God has given us, you start getting into trouble .
  • 2 Corinthians 9:15 – Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!                                              
  • The word indescribable is interesting because it doesn’t mean that there are no words. It means there are not enough words
  • The reason this gift is indescribable is because we discover new things about the Lord every time we see Him and will continue to walk in newness of life for all eternity.
  • James 1:17  – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

THE FATHER OF LIGHTS

LIGHT IS LIFE

John 8:12 – I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 

THE FATHER OF LIGHTS

IN RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM AS FATHER, EVERYTHING HE GIVES YOU IS LIFE GIVING.

  • He doesn’t change HIS behavior to mimic your behavior.
  • He is your protection.
  • He is your stability.
  • He is your sanity.
  • He is your refuge.
  • He is there for you. No matter what changes His heart for you, who He is to you never changes.
  • The amplified versions says, “Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].”

1 John 3:1  – Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!

  • We can know the Heart of the Father.
  • We can have the heart of the Father.
  • The heart of the Father is for people:
  • The Whole World  in John 3:16
  • The lost…people like us.
  • 2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
  • Not willing that any should perish (not just some people)
  • No one is beyond the heart of God.

He is the Father who runs to his children.

  • God searched for Adam in the Garden – Genesis 3:9
  • He runs to his lost sons and daughters – Luke 15:20
  • God is still seeking and saving the lost – Luke 19:10
  • He is still running to you!

Jesus has the heart of the Father – John 1:14

  • John 14:7 – If you have seen me you have seen the Father.
  • “That’s my dad. That’s my father and when I see Jesus, I have seen the Father.”
  • James 1:17  – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Calendars 1 – Once Upon a Time

PREREQUISITES, PREMISES, LINES OF LOGIC AND THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING THINGS RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING

Now, in order for us to get to the revelation or to the conclusion of this truth that will set us free, we have to go through several premises.

A premise is when you follow a line of logic that will support a conclusion. Basically, the things you have to know in order to come to a mind-blowing revelation. 

The Bible would call it a “therefore.” It’s like when Jesus says, “OK, now that you’ve got that idea, from there, we move forward.” Therefores are all throughout the word.

There are a Titanic 1,220 “therefores” throughout the Bible – 76 in the book of John alone!

John 8:36 – If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

John 8:47 – He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

This is why we need our foundation to be based on the word of God. This is why we need to teach our kids foundational principles, values, scriptures and biblical truth so we can all be Kingdom thinkers.

What’s the conclusion? What’s this world-changing, life-altering revelation?

It’s simple. You do not have to be caged by your timeline or your calendar. You do not have to be enslaved to your past or fearful of your future. You can invite Jesus Christ into your past or future and His redemptive power can change everything in your now.    

Premise 1 – God created time and is not subject or shackled by it in any way.

Premise 2 – God created time for the purpose of works of redemption.

Premise 3 – Redemption changes everything.

Premise 4 – Note the hidden, manifest omnipresence of God throughout your timelines. 

Premise 5 – We are stewards, not owners of our lives. As priests, we apply the blood. As kings, we bring Kingdom dominion into all we steward.

Jesus is a time traveler and we can partner with Him to be made manifest in every moment of our lives. Chains in our current situation will fall off when we displace the enemy with His manifest presence in our past. 

So, I encourage you to take time out to learn how time works and how time can work for you. Learn the powerful prophetic act of redeeming time. Be set free right now and in your future from things that have happened in your past.

You do not have to be a slave to your past.

If you’ve been around for any amount of time, you know time is a common part of everyday, expressive language. We say things like this:   

  • IN THE NICK OF TIME meaning just before time ran out.
  • TIME FLIES meaning accelerated time. 
  • TIME MARCHES ON which says time is unstoppable.
  • TIME ON MY HANDS might mean wasted time or a feeling of more than enough time.
  • A STITCH IN TIME  talks about disciplined time. 
  • TIME OUT is all about stopping the clock.
  • TIME IN restarting the clock and becoming rededicated to the game.
  • PASSING TIME speaks of leisurely waiting.
  • DOING TIME  is a prison term.
  • KILLING TIME could also be called spending time.
  • WASTING TIME is a lot like killing time.
  • LOSING TIME is connected to the anxiety of running out of time.
  • ON TIME means “as scheduled.”
  • FOR THE TIME BEING means right now, but things could change.
  • BIG TIME means super important or influential.
  • THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE speaks of dreams coming true.
  • AND ONCE UPON TIME is a poetic term for a certain time frame in the past.

Oh, we are all about time, but do we really know what time even is?

Pastor Troy’s worldview of time: Time is a gift from God.

God gave you time.

Time is something that can be measured, numbered and predicted by common people. Time is an environment that God created for our sakes and we need to understand time in order to partner with His purposes for us. 

Ecclesiastes 3:1 – To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven…

Time is a blessing for the redeemed and a curse for God’s haters. It owns everything that isn’t kingdom and is a valuable tool for the purposes of the redeemed and the redeemer. Scripture tells us God gives and God takes away. When it comes to time, we need to know the prophetic value of time before we step into eternity.  Let’s unpack this.

I played guitar in a Christian Rock Band throughout the late eighties and a lot of times we played secular sets in bars and clubs because we didn’t want to starve to death. It was also a powerful outreach in the rock community. Our songs would have kingdom themes and, at the end of the night, we would let everybody know we were Christians and offer to share Jesus with them in the parking lot or over at the bar. 

One night in Austin, Texas, I was playing on world famous 6th Street at a place called The Liberty Lunch. As I sat at the bar with a young married couple in the midst of praying for them, I looked up and saw this framed statement. It was in-between pictures of cropdusting airplanes, guitar players and Texas folk art.

“Time is God’s way of keeping everything from happening at once.”    

I had to drive all the way back to Johnson County and I couldn’t get that phrase out of my head. I prayed out loud and asked God, “Sir, why wouldn’t you want everything to happen at one time?”

That night, God began talking to me about time in an ongoing dialogue that is still going on today.

It turns out, God wants us to move from past to future, from dark to light, and from death to life. If He is going to redeem us and move us from history to destiny, time is the only place something like that can happen. Time is a stage where the spotlight can shine on redemption and transformation.   

Let’s look at how the Bible introduces Heaven’s view of time. 

GOD’S GLORY IN TIME

I want to take you back to an ancient setting. Moses, the Jew that didn’t belong in the house of the Egyptians and wasn’t welcome in the camp of his own people, had run away and lived with another group he didn’t belong to – the Midianites. After forty years, he finally found somebody he belonged to – God. After a world-famous, supernatural showdown with the most powerful man on the planet, Moses wanted a deeper walk with God and, like Oliver Twist, dared to ask for more.

Exodus 33:18 – “Show me your glory.”

He wanted to see the “glory” of God.

“Glory” might best be described as the weighty or tangible presence of God, or God’s visible awesomeness.

The relationship Moses had with God was special and so was the revelation God had for him. Upon request, God replied that His awesomeness would not be seen head on. But, still He had a plan.

Exodus 33:17-23 – So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” 18 And he (Moses) said, “Please, show me Your glory.” 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” 21 And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. 22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

In a time long ago, Moses had gone to the top of the mountain and seen the backside of God. In a tiny glimpse of God’s glory, Moses saw the goodness of God from that moment…backward in time past.  All of it. Every good thing God had done and every good way God had been in the past, Moses saw all of it in a game-changing glimpse of God’s backside.

You might not know it, but this is a reference to a timeline.  Everything under the law deals with present/past tense so this is the way God would reveal His glory, or visible awesomeness, to Moses – in present/past tense. 

Present/past tense = The Law

Present/future tense = The Grace of God

So, when Moses put his ancient feather to his animal skin canvas that would become the very first Bible, these were the epic words that he would use to introduce the world to the written word of God. 

Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And that is how he starts off the Bible. A barefoot. ancient man in the middle east comes down from a mountain with a reference to God creating time, space and matter all at once.

In the beginning (TIME)

God created the heaven (SPACE)

and the earth (MATTER)

Genesis 1:1 – says God created time, space and matter. Also in continuum with space and time is matter.

It simply means that time, space and matter are connected in a way that makes them inseparable. That’s what Genesis one actually says!

This amazing truth was written for the world to see 3,500 years before Albert Einstein or Hermann Minkowski first suggested a space-time continuum in 1908. Before those two Jews brought this truth to the world, another Jew – 35 centuries earlier – wrote it down for literally the whole world to see.   

So the Bible starts off by letting us know that God is not subject to time, space or matter. However, time and all that’s in continuum with it, is subject to Him because He is the creator of those things.

Time and creation, at this point, are connected. Time is a created thing. Time was created by God and actually serves God for very specific purposes. Because there are different purposes of God, God has created different kinds of time to fulfill those purposes. 

Ecclesiastes 3:1 – To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven…

Premise 1 – Time is created by God. Time is subject to God. God is not subject to time. 

Time is one of the most amazing features of all God’s creation.

And just like the rest of God’s creation, Jesus Christ rules and reigns over all of it.

He can put His hands on time:

Jeremiah 32:17 – Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. 

He can order time:

1 Corinthians 14:33 NIV – For God is not a God of disorder but of peace–as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.

He can stop time:

Joshua 10:13 NIV – So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies

He can accelerate time:

Amos 9:13 – “…the plowman will overtake the reaper.”

He can even step in and out of time anywhere He chooses as easily as you and I can step on or off a train anywhere along the line.   

He can change time:

Isaiah 38:8  – I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.

He can change space and distance because they are in continuum with time:

Acts 8:39-40  – Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus.

He can change matter just like when changed water into wine and healed people of leprosy. 

If you can believe God can be with somebody on the other side of the world at the same time He is with you, then it is not much of a leap to believe he can step into your past because space and time are in continuum.

It doesn’t take any more faith for you to believe God can step into your past or your future right now, than it does to believe God can heal the sick because time and matter are in continuum. 

So, all of the systems of time, for God, are like the weather, or world governments or human bodies. He has designed time to run according to certain principles and laws, but He can step into any single time frame and change it the same as he can heal a human body, reroute a hurricane, or unseat a demonic king.

Time, space and matter are part of God’s creation and are in perfect continuum. 

Time is created by God and time is subject to God’s authority –  and that’s the bottom line.   

He is the master and the creator of time. He is uniquely genius in understanding the timing of things.

LOGISTICAL MIRACLES

* The blessing of being on time

* The cursing of not being on time

Deuteronomy 28:67 – In the morning you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ And at evening you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see.

You do not want to be out of synch in your timing.

CALENDARS 22 –  A Word in Due Season

God speaks in different ways during different parts of our calendars and timelines.

  • Why? EVERYTHING IN THE KINGDOM IS RELATIONAL BEFORE IT IS
  • THERE IS A VERY SPECIFIC WORD FROM GOD FOR SPECIFIC PEOPLE AT SPECIFIC TIMES
  • 2 Corinthians 6:2 – For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
  • Luke 4:19-20 – …To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
  • Psalms 75:2 (Amplified)  – When the proper time has come, [for executing my judgments,] I will judge uprightly, (says the Lord.)

Sons of Issachar

1 Chronicles 12:32 – And of the children of Issachar, who were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were under their command.

Exodus 32:29 – For Moses had said, “Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD… that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.”

THERE IS A SPECIAL BLESSING THAT ONLY COMES FROM TIMES OF WHAT THE BIBLE CALLS CONSECRATION.

  • Consecration and contemplation
    • Consecration is about an intentional posture toward God’s presence.
    • It’s about setting yourself apart in a specific way for God to bless you in a specific way.
    • Hearing the trumpet blow.
  • People who live life at a much higher level in Christ live a life committed to consecration.
    • Psalms 16:8  – I have set the LORD always before me…
    • Psalm 34:8 – “O taste and see that the LORD is good.”
  • We only comprehend the goodness of God through personal encounter.
  • When God begins to invite us into encounter with him, we agree and say, “Yes.”
    • Psalms 27:8 – When you said, “Seek my face” my heart said unto you, “Your face, LORD, will I seek.”
    • Psalm 85:5 – Blessed is the man whose…heart is set on pilgrimage.
    • Luke 6:38 – …“For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
    • The other thing we need to be dedicated to is contemplation – that we will take the notes we wrote down in this sermon series and during this upcoming conference and remember the things God is speaking to us. That we will meditate and think on them until we have come to supernatural and holy ghost conclusions that only the lord could take us to.

You have to want to think God thoughts.

  • Psalms 1:2 – [a blessed man] has his delight on the teachings of the lord and he meditates on it day and night.
  • WE WANT TO KNOW THE HEART OF GOD SO WE CAN RECOGNIZE THE VOICE OF GOD, AND WE CAN HAVE THE GUTS AND CHARACTER TO CARRY OUT WHAT GOD IS SPEAKING TO US IN 2019.
  • Knowing God’s heart for us right now.
  • Hearing God’s voice.
  • Becoming empowered to carry out great vision.

GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOU, RIGHT NOW, A WORD THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.

  • A word in direct contrast to the what the world is saying and we must develop a huge value for the voice of God.
  • HAVE A HIGHER VALUE FOR HIS VOICE
  • Proverbs 15:23 – A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word spoken in due season, how good it is!
  • Proverbs 25:11 – A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.

Genesis 1:1

 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

First day God created light

Second day. God divided the waters

Third day God rose up the land out of the sea

Genesis 1:14-19

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

A sign is something that proclaims a prophetic message.

A season is a prophetic appointed time.

The promise of the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is a prophetic promise.

There is no end to the ways God can speak to us. There is ONE WORD – the Bible – but no end to the number of methods and sources God will use to convey his prophetic word.

One internationally recognized and undisputed way God speaks prophetically is through astrological events otherwise known signs in the heavens. 

Psalm 19:1-3

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

One of the main reasons God created the sun, the moon and the stars, and positioned them with our perspective in mind was literally for prophetic signs to tell us when we are entering into a new prophetic season. 

Luke 21:25 & 28

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars…Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

There has never been a time when God has spoken so much and declared so great a things in the heavens as right now. 

2) ECLIPSES ARE A SCIENTIFIC MIRACLE

The physics of an eclipse:

The sun is 400 times larger than the moon. It is also 400 times away from our planet. Therefore, when the earth, or it’s shadow, passes between the sun and our moon to create an eclipse, it creates a perfect “blackout” from our perspective.

From a scientific standpoint, it is literally and astrological miracle.

May be the only place in the universe where all of these things line up and they line up FROM OUR PERSPECTIVE! (FIRMAMENT)

God is literally shouting, “I want you to see this. I Am speaking to you.”

God speaks through both lunar and solar eclipses

The Sun represents the Glory of God – His light.

Therefore, Solar eclipses are a word from God for the natural or creation.

It is seen as male.

It is generally a word for the nations.

The moon has no light, or glory, of her own. She reflects the light of the Sun – it’s glory.

Therefore, Lunar eclipses are a spiritual word.

They are seen as female (moon has 28 day cycle just like a woman)

Lunar eclipses are generally a word for the church.

Very often, they line up with specific feasts on the Jewish calendar.

An eclipse is known as THE ORIGINAL SIGN OF JONAH THE PROPHET

Bursagale eclipse of June 15, 763 BC – AKA: ASSYRIAN ECLIPSE (GRX)

Total solar eclipse. Scared these people to death. Came after famine and plague had decimated the evil, child sacrificing Assyrian people.

A famous prophet who calmed a storm and spent three days in the belly of a fish walks up to the evil people of Assyrian capitol of Ninevah and says, “Repent!”

They repent!!!! He shows up on the first day of the month of Elul it’s 40 days before Yom Kippur and says, “Repent! You’ve got 40 days.”

It’s when God shows up and changes everything

It took 120 years to build the ark before God showed up, filled it with animals and God Almighty Himself shut the door.

Moses spent forty years in Egypt, forty years as a shepherd and forty years in the wilderness before he died at the age of 120, then everyone else entered into the Promised Land.

There were 120 people in the Upper Room when the Holy Spirit showed up at Pentecost and changed absolutely everything.

From the Rev 12 sign on September 23, 2017 to the day BEFORE the Jan 20 eclipse is 483-days… there are 7-days to a week, so that 483 days is exactly 69-weeks… 7 X 69 = 483.

CALENDARS PART 4 – DRAWING A LINE ON TIME

This is going to be several different parts and what I am about to talk to about is very controversial and that’s  because

People have drawn their lines in the sand and insist on calling their theories “God.”

I’m going to call this first part “Drawing the Line On Time.”

The Temple of God (1 Peter 2:5)  = We do not budge.

The Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12) = We are always growing & moving.

We have to learn. We have to process. We have to develop. We have to unpack things and go after things, and you and I get into speculation and the wonders of abstract thought. In the the midst of all that, we come up with theories.

Theories are not the bad guy.

A theory is only bad when we say our theory is God.

Even the word “theory” has the word “Theo” in it, which means “anything relating to God.”

Theology

Theocracy: a system of government where priests rule in the name of God.

Pantheon: was the place where the Greeks worshiped all the Gods – even the unknown God that Paul preached about at Mars Hill in Acts chapter 17.

So, the word “theory” has the word “theo” in it because human beings mistake theory for revelation.

DEVINE REVELATION IS NOT THE SAME AS THEORY.

And humans, both secular and biblical, tend to call their theories “God.”

I’m going to explore a bunch of fun ideas and theories regarding secular and biblical timelines, but first of all,

let me say this: Be set free in the name of Jesus to unpack and process Kingdom truth in non-traditional ways.

Permission granted to be a weirdo.

These chairs indicate a typical biblical timeline that is true:

There are 2,000 years from Adam to Abraham. 

There are 2,000 years from Abraham to Jesus              

and 2,000 years from Jesus to right now.

So, the biblical timeline is a 7,000 year timeline and we are at right at the dawning of the 7th day.

I have a place in Glenrose, Texas and Glenrose is famous for good barbecue and dinosaur tracks. A good example of those dinosaurs tracks is like the one I have here which I found not even 50 yards from my house.

Theropod – it was made by something scientists call an

an acrocanthosaurus at least 65 million years ago.

There are 2 reasons I would like to identify why that is so offensive to Jesus-loving bible thumpers:

1) It obviously goes against our understanding of the Bible. 

It is one thing to challenge your understanding and another thing to challenge your faith.

Know the difference between a challenge to your understanding and a test of your faith. 

I think it’s real important to be honest about what you think you understand, what you’re not sure about, and when you don’t know how to answer something to be honest about that. Just say, “I’ve got nothing for you on that.”

There are all kinds of timelines.

The first of Tishrei serves as the New Year for several purposes, the best known being the New Year for the civil calendar, or “the new year for seasons.”

The second new year is 15 Shevat – the New Year for trees.

The third Jewish new year is 1 Nissan, which corresponds to the season of the redemption from Egypt and the birth of the Israelite nation.

Jonathan Cahn, a messianic Jewish scholar, calculates Jesus was born and died on 1 Nissan making a complete circuit and fulfilling that he is the beginning and end of all things.

The last new year, 1 Elul, is the New Year for the tithing of cattle.

There is also the Ecclesiastes 3 timeline of times and seasons/

Timelines can tell us what time it is, but it can not tell us what time is.

2)  There is an obvious anti-Kingdom bias among atheistic scientists.

So much of the religion verses science arguments are actually The religion of science verses the faith of Christianity.

When a guy like Carl Sagan says science is not compatible with anything spiritual, he is saying that science has all the answers.

Believe it or not, science has its limits. If you doubt me, I suggest you submit a grant to the National Science Foundation with the following introduction and see how much funding you receive:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty happy that the Founding Fathers didn’t wait to see the results of scientific method of verification called the seven-year democracy pragmatic trials before going forward with the Declaration of Independence. 

Science does not have all the answers and to declare science to be absolute truth is not a study but a religion.

What I am talking about is the difference between theory and truth.

Truth-based theory (an agenda for the Kingdom)

Anti-truth-based theory (an anti-Christ agenda)

Based on a worldview that is not only un-friendly to the idea of Jesus Christ being God, but is actually hostile to the idea of God at all.

You are made to be creative.

You are made to imagine.

You are made to ask questions and search for deep truth.

Whether it’s on timelines or how God thinks about things,

your identity in Christ or the difference you can make and are charged to make – whatever you create or imagine  needs to be with a very real intention.

You are either motivated because of your faith or you  are motivated to pursue something and keep God out of it.

A GOLDEN YEAR 1 – CROWNS AND ENDURING WORKS

I think one of the mistakes I’ve made in the past is labor and labor to come up with the prophetic word for the year, but not laboring and laboring to help people carry out the word for the year.

  • James 1:22-25 (NKJV) – But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
  • There is a lot of mistaken identity when it comes to not doing the word that you have received.
  • James 2:14-17, 26 – What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.  26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
  • You have to carry out what God tells you. You have to do the thing you are hearing God say He wants you to do.

IT IS ONE THING FOR GOD TO GIVE YOU THE BIG PICTURE.  IT IS ANOTHER THING FOR YOU TO MAKE YOUR LIFE LOOK LIKE THE BIG PICTURE.

  • IT’S ONE THING TO GET PREGNANT. IT’S A WHOLE OTHER THING TO SEE YOUR KID GRADUATE FROM UNIVERSITY.
  • It’s one thing for God to to show you the plan for the tabernacle like He did Moses. It is a whole other thing for you to build the tabernacle according to that plan after you come down from the mountain and you are surrounded by knuckleheads.

YOU HAVE TO WORK OUT YOUR FAITH THROUGH GREAT COMMITMENT AND DEDICATION

James 2:26  – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Three main themes I am sensing about the year 2019:

  • GOLD: Supernatural Presence & Financial Breakthrough
  • FAITH: A new grace for hearing and believing God for things much, much bigger than you
  • FRUIT BEARING: The year your miraculous baby is born

GOLD

  • 79 – atomic number of gold
  • GOLD IN THE NATURAL MEANS “WEALTH” or “FINANCES”
  • It also signifies grandeur and prosperity

GOLD IN THE KINGDOM MEANS “THE MANIFEST PRESENCE OF GOD, HIS MAJESTY AND HIS KINGDOM COME”

So, which is it? The year of supernatural gold or the year of natural gold?

  • 79 – Atomic number of gold
  • 5779 (Hebrew calendar)   
  • 19 – gematria of the word gold
  • 2019 (Gregorian calendar)
  • I’ve got great news! It’s both!! It’s on both calendars!!
  • This means it’s both natural and supernatural

THIS IS THE YEAR OF BEING CROWNED AND REWARDED

THE LORD WILL BLESS YOUR PURSUIT AND PUT A CROWN ON YOUR HEAD.

Psalms 21:1-3 – The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart’s desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. You have proffered him blessings of good things, you have set upon his head a crown of fine gold.

  • Be determined to overcome.
  • Be determined to finish things and complete them with excellence.

THIS IS THE YEAR OF DOING THINGS THAT MATTER – ENDURING WORKS

1 Corinthians 3:12-14  – “Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare is, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.”

  • Be purposed in your heart to be on the right team.
  • Put away childish things.
  • Be connected and activated in the things God has assigned you to.

Supernatural Sanity for Your Messed Up Mind

Luke 25:13-45 The Road to Emmaus

Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. 16 But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. 17 And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?”

18 Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?” 19 And He said to them, “What things?” So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. 22 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.”

25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

The Disciples’ Eyes Opened

28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.

30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.

32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” 35 And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

36 Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” 37 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38 And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

40 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. 41 But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” 42 So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish [k]and some honeycomb. 43 And He took it and ate in their presence.

The Scriptures Opened

44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

Jesus is there when we don’t know He’s there and when we don’t know it’s Jesus.

  • Jesus pointed out they were sad yet they said their hearts burned within them. So, they had both holy emotions and carnal emotions fighting each other at the same time. 

REBEKAH AND THE STRUGGLE WITHIN

Rebekah struggled with bareness for almost twenty years. This meant she was probably around forty years old when she became pregnant for the first and only time. She had a difficult pregnancy because we read in Genesis that:

  • Genesis 25:22 – “the children struggled together within her.”
    • INSIDE THIS WOMAN WAS BATTLE. THERE WAS A FIGHT GOING ON INSIDE HER BODY
  • In Genesis, it says she cried unto the Lord
    • Genesis 25:2 – “If it be so, why am I thus?”
  • Then we read she “went to enquire of the Lord.” It is a great testament to Rebekah’s faith that when she had a question about her pregnancy, she turned to the Lord for guidance instead of relying on advice from other women or accepting cultural explanations.
  • In reply to her prayer, the Lord gave her a direct and personal revelation. It is one of the few accounts in the Bible that we have of a woman speaking directly with God. He told her,
    • Genesis 25:23 (PTV) – THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT NATIONS INSIDE OF YOU AND THEY WILL ALWAYS FIGHT. That’s the Pastor Troy Version of that verse.

MY STRUGGLE AND YOURS:

  • IF I AM A MAN OF PEACE, WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH ANGER?
  • IF I AM A MAN OF CONFIDENCE, WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH ANXIETY?
  • IF I AM ANOINTED TO HAVE COURAGE, WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH FEAR? 
  • If I am a man of joy and celebration, why do I deal with so much depression?
  • God wants in on the battle within us.
    • God wants in on my thinking – “behold I stand at the door and I knock.” Jesus wants  in.
  • Your soul is made up of your mind, your will, and your emotions.

SOUL VS. SPIRIT

  • Pneuma: Spirit – “The Breath”
  • Psuché: Soul – the mind, will and emotions
  • The soul is your Esau and your Spirit is your Jacob.
  • Your soul, you mind, your will, and your emotions must submit to the Spirit.
  • Sometimes your body and your soul will team up.

Adoration: a disciplined emotional response to the love of God. Adoration involves joy, happiness and laughter. Intentional passion for Jesus.

  • Psalms 122:1 – I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:23 – Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR SOUL TO YOUR SPIRIT, IT DOESN’T DECLINE. IT ACTUALLY BECOMES ALIVE. IT PROSPERS AND BECOMES WHAT A SOUL IS SUPPOSED TO BE.

  • 3 John 1:2-4  – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR PROSPERITY.

  • God’s way of prospering you is to make your soul prosper.
  • Verse 2 says your life prospers when your soul prospers. Verse 3 says your soul will prosper when you walk in truth. So, the way God set it up is like this:
    • As you progress in the mind and the Spirit of God.
    • As you let your mind get in agreement with what God almighty says, you prosper. You advance you go to the next level.
    • You are given more authority and more responsibility.   
    • There are ways Jesus is involved in your life and you don’t have a clue that He’s there at all. There are other places you are giving credit to something that is actually Jesus Himself.

You can talk to your soul from your Spirit:

  • Psalms 42:11 – Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

These ten basic declarations (confessions) are foundational to the building of my faith. They will increase your expectancy of God’s goodness; and, thus, will increase the manifestation of that goodness in your life.

Jesus said in Matthew 8:13 “According to your faith, so be it.” Say this every day for a month and see what happens to your life. It will be exciting!

1. My prayers are powerful and effective (2 Corinthians 5:21; James 5:16b).

2. God richly supplies all my financial needs (Philippians 4:19).

3. I am dead to sin and alive to obeying God (Romans 6:11).

4. I walk in ever-increasing health (Isaiah 53:3-5).

5. I live under a supernatural protection (Psalms 91).

6. I prosper in all my relationships (Luke 2:52).

7. I consistently bring God encounters to other people (Mark 16:17-18).

8. Through Jesus I am 100 percent loved and worthy to receive all of God’s blessings (Galatians 3:1-5).

9. Each of my family members is wonderfully blessed and called to radically love Jesus (Acts 16:30-31).

10. I laugh when I hear a lie from the devil (Psalms 2:2-4).

Calling Your Tribe

25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

The Disciples’ Eyes Opened

28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.

30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.

32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” 35 And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

36 Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” 37 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38 And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

40 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. 41 But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” 42 So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish [k]and some honeycomb. 43 And He took it and ate in their presence.

The Scriptures Opened

44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

Jesus is there when we don’t know He’s there and when we don’t know it’s Jesus.

  • Jesus pointed out they were sad yet they said their hearts burned within them. So, they had both holy emotions and carnal emotions fighting each other at the same time. 

REBEKAH AND THE STRUGGLE WITHIN

Rebekah struggled with bareness for almost twenty years. This meant she was probably around forty years old when she became pregnant for the first and only time. She had a difficult pregnancy because we read in Genesis that:

  • Genesis 25:22 – “the children struggled together within her.”
    • INSIDE THIS WOMAN WAS BATTLE. THERE WAS A FIGHT GOING ON INSIDE HER BODY
  • In Genesis, it says she cried unto the Lord
    • Genesis 25:2 – “If it be so, why am I thus?”
  • Then we read she “went to enquire of the Lord.” It is a great testament to Rebekah’s faith that when she had a question about her pregnancy, she turned to the Lord for guidance instead of relying on advice from other women or accepting cultural explanations.
  • In reply to her prayer, the Lord gave her a direct and personal revelation. It is one of the few accounts in the Bible that we have of a woman speaking directly with God. He told her,
    • Genesis 25:23 (PTV) – THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT NATIONS INSIDE OF YOU AND THEY WILL ALWAYS FIGHT. That’s the Pastor Troy Version of that verse.

MY STRUGGLE AND YOURS:

  • IF I AM A MAN OF PEACE, WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH ANGER?
  • IF I AM A MAN OF CONFIDENCE, WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH ANXIETY?
  • IF I AM ANOINTED TO HAVE COURAGE, WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH FEAR? 
  • If I am a man of joy and celebration, why do I deal with so much depression?
  • God wants in on the battle within us.
    • God wants in on my thinking – “behold I stand at the door and I knock.” Jesus wants  in.
  • Your soul is made up of your mind, your will, and your emotions.

SOUL VS. SPIRIT

  • Pneuma: Spirit – “The Breath”
  • Psuché: Soul – the mind, will and emotions
  • The soul is your Esau and your Spirit is your Jacob.
  • Your soul, you mind, your will, and your emotions must submit to the Spirit.
  • Sometimes your body and your soul will team up.

Adoration: a disciplined emotional response to the love of God. Adoration involves joy, happiness and laughter. Intentional passion for Jesus.

  • Psalms 122:1 – I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:23 – Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR SOUL TO YOUR SPIRIT, IT DOESN’T DECLINE. IT ACTUALLY BECOMES ALIVE. IT PROSPERS AND BECOMES WHAT A SOUL IS SUPPOSED TO BE.

  • 3 John 1:2-4  – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR PROSPERITY.

  • God’s way of prospering you is to make your soul prosper.
  • Verse 2 says your life prospers when your soul prospers. Verse 3 says your soul will prosper when you walk in truth. So, the way God set it up is like this:
    • As you progress in the mind and the Spirit of God.
    • As you let your mind get in agreement with what God almighty says, you prosper. You advance you go to the next level.
    • You are given more authority and more responsibility.   
    • There are ways Jesus is involved in your life and you don’t have a clue that He’s there at all. There are other places you are giving credit to something that is actually Jesus Himself.

You can talk to your soul from your Spirit:

  • Psalms 42:11 – Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

These ten basic declarations (confessions) are foundational to the building of my faith. They will increase your expectancy of God’s goodness; and, thus, will increase the manifestation of that goodness in your life.

Jesus said in Matthew 8:13 “According to your faith, so be it.” Say this every day for a month and see what happens to your life. It will be exciting!

1. My prayers are powerful and effective (2 Corinthians 5:21; James 5:16b).

2. God richly supplies all my financial needs (Philippians 4:19).

3. I am dead to sin and alive to obeying God (Romans 6:11).

4. I walk in ever-increasing health (Isaiah 53:3-5).

5. I live under a supernatural protection (Psalms 91).

6. I prosper in all my relationships (Luke 2:52).

7. I consistently bring God encounters to other people (Mark 16:17-18).

8. Through Jesus I am 100 percent loved and worthy to receive all of God’s blessings (Galatians 3:1-5).

9. Each of my family members is wonderfully blessed and called to radically love Jesus (Acts 16:30-31).

10. I laugh when I hear a lie from the devil (Psalms 2:2-4).

May 12, 2019 – The determination of a Supernatural Mama

Determination:

  1. The act of coming to a decision, of fixing or settling a purpose.
  2. The decision or settlement arrived at or pronounced.
  3. The quality of being resolute; firmness of purpose.

The Bible has a lot to say about our responsibility and cooperating with God on our intentions and determinations.

Themes of standing firm, having diligence and persevering through to the end.

  • There are 17 promises in the book of Revelation for Him who overcomes. 
  • Proverbs 12:24  – The hand of the diligent will rule…
  • Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. – James 1:12
  • Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. – 1 Corinthians 16:13
  • Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. – Romans 12:11-12
  • 2 Thessalonians 16-17 – You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you. – 2 Chronicles 20:17
  • May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace, give us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
  • Luke 21:19 – Stand firm, and you will win life.
  • The God-given ability to say things like, “It’s not over,” is part of learning to live a powerful Christian life.
  • “This thing that has happened will not end me! I remember the promises God has given me.”
  • Or “this terrible thing might have happened but the outcome God promised is still the same.”
  • ISN’T THERE A GREAT DETERMINATION IN SAYING
  • Philippians 4:13  – I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

DESPERATION – DESIRE

DESIRE – DETERMINATION

DETERMINATION – DESTINY

Your determination comes from your desires (want life).

Your desires are produced through your desperation.

Adoration is a disciplined emotional response to the love of God.

  • Adoration is passion with intentionality.
  • Affection is the state of being affected by something or the state of affecting something else.
  • You think about things in a way to that you let it affect you.
  • A great word for determination is ABIDING

Abiding means we value and honor our relationship with God above all others.

  • John 15:4 – “Abide in Me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.”
  • When we keep our consciousness focused on God, our faith increases exponentially.

DIVINE DETERMINATION: SUPERNATURALLY HARD-HEADED

2 Samuel 21:10  – Now Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until the late rains poured on them from heaven. And she did not allow the birds of the air to rest on them by day nor the beasts of the field by night.

11 And David was told what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done. 12 Then David went and took the bones of Saul, and the bones of Jonathan his son, from the men of Jabesh Gilead who had stolen them from the street of Beth Shan, where the Philistines had hung them up, after the Philistines had struck down Saul in Gilboa. 

13 So he brought up the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from there; and they gathered the bones of those who had been hanged. 

14 They buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the tomb of Kish his father. So they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God heeded the prayer for the land.

  • A 3-year drought
  • Joshua’s covenant with the Gibeonites
  • The holocaust of the Gibeonites happened 40 years earlier and the Jews had to actually seek the Lord to find out why there was a famine. 
  • Seed sown 2 generations ago had brought a famine into the modern day and they had to deal with it. 
  • She is holding her vigil.

SHE IS STILL DEVOTED TO HER CHILDREN EVEN AFTER IT IS OBVIOUSLY OVER.

(ABIDING)

  • NO MORE SHAME. NOT ON MY WATCH!
  • I couldn’t do anything about that but I can do something about this. There’s gonna be redemption.
  • I will not walk away from children in this shameful place. I will drive off anything – day or night – that would threaten the redemption of my children.   
  • She is devoted and faithful when no one else is.
  • She is still being who she is supposed to me when no one else is.
  • It’s gonna close, but not like this (closure).

HER LOVE FOR HER CHILDREN EMPOWERS HER

TO DRIVE AWAY THE THINGS

THAT WOULD DEVOUR THEM.

(ADORATION) 

  • Her passion for her kids was unexplainable. It didn’t make any sense. People thought that woman was crazy. 
  • She stays at her post from April or May all the way until October. She holds on. She is faithful until the rains come.
  • The rain is coming.

IT IS YOUR DETERMINATION THAT REACHES THE KING

  • God sees your determination!
  • RIZPAH: A BURNING COAL
  • A burning coal is a prophetic picture of redemption 
  • A mama is a catalyst for redemption.
  • A mama is an agent for change and Kingdom transformation.

DECLARATION

King Jesus, I know that my determination will reach you.                     

I’m not giving up. I’m still on my watch. I know that you see me. 

Any place of shame that is in my family will be displaced by honor.

I am a burning coal. I am a catalyst for redemption.

I will never give up and I will see God’s goodness in the land of the living. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

JESUS IS THERE WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW HE’S THERE.

Proverbs 21:1

The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he will.

The power of evangelism: I told a reporter that  “If I had my dream place to bring the Gospel it would be the saloon scene in Star Wars.”   

Peter Mayhew – Troy’s cousin Peter played Chewbacca in all the Star Wars movies. Troy landed a ticket to the premiere of one of the movies. Troy was seated in theater 7 of 12 theaters showing the premiere, so he was not with all the big name movie stars. He found himself sitting with the puppeteers – literally the men who ran the puppets in the original saloon scene from the very first Star Wars movie. Because of CGI animation, they were no longer needed. Despite this, Troy was blown away and told the men about this prophetic declaration. They were intrigued and stayed after to let Troy preach to them. Many got saved.

Psalms 126:1

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

Acts 2:17

And it will be in the last days, God says, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your elders will dream dreams.

THE IMPORTANCE OF STABILITY

  • Thoughts on stability in your identity, faith, marriage, finances, health, relationships, hope, goals and dreams  
  • We should be determined to be stable in everything.
  • stable: not likely to give way or overturn; firmly fixed

 

 

FIXING OUR MINDS & OUR EYES

  • Philippians 4:8 AMP – For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
  • The key to stability in our identity, faith, marriage, finances, health, relationships, hope, goals and dreams is where we fix our minds and our eyes – where we are determined to consistently look at the things of Jesus and the things of the Kingdom. 
  • Hebrews 12:2 says we are supposed to be people who are fixing our eyes on Jesus! 
  • King David says in Psalm 16:8 – I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

 

STABILITY IN EVERYDAY LIFE

  • We are called to be stable in a world that declares it impossible for us to have stability in our faith.
  • In life, we are going to come across things that obviously go against our understanding of the Bible and our understanding of the nature of God’s amazing heart. 
  • This is a part of the human experience and you have got to develop skill sets to pass the things that test you. 

 

 

TESTING 101

  • God will test you. He will not tempt you. 
  • A testing from the devil always comes in the form of accusation and tempting. 
  • Testing from the Father comes in the form of proving and qualifying for reward. Reward is attached. 

 

THIS OR THAT: DOES GOD LEAD US INTO TEMPTATION? 

  • Never. In fact, when He leads us, He delivers us from the self destructing evil that comes from our own enticements.
  • James 1:13 – Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
  • Luke 11:1-4  – 1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2  And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3  Give us day by day our daily bread. 4  And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

This or That 3: Faith that Works

The Bible says in one place “this” and in another, it’s “that.” Some say, “It’s this” and some say, “It’s that.” “This or that?”

This or that 1: Stable is as Stable Does – getting fixed in your faith

  • TESTING 101: God will test you but He will not tempt you.
  • A testing from the devil always comes in the form of accusation and tempting.
  • Testing from the Father comes in the form of proving and qualifying for reward.
  • “And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”
    • LUKE 11:4 (PTV) …LEAD US AWAY FROM THE PLACES WHERE WE WILL FAIL …
  • So, we’ve got to be fixed in our faith toward the Father.

This or that part 2: The Point of the Blade of Offense

OFF-ENDED: NO LONGER IN A FIXED POSITION 

  • THIS OR THAT?
    • Great judgment comes from the person who offends everybody because offense is bad (Luke 17)
    • King Jesus offends everybody because it is good (Isaiah 8 & 1 Peter 2 )
  • IF YOU OFF-END SOMEBODY WHO IS FIXED ON JESUS AND YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR IMMATURITY, GOD WILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE.
  • IF GOD OFF-ENDS YOU, IT IS BECAUSE YOU ARE FIXED IN A POSITION THAT ISN’T HIM. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BE MATURE AND REFIX ON HIM.

THIS OR THAT 3: FAITH THAT WORKS

  • Ephesians 2:1-3 – And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
  • This is the environments in which we see, hear, live and work and the atmospheres and spiritual conditions of our homes, hearts and minds.
  • It’s also about the culture of how we live together at work, in the family, church and in government.          

Control the narrative and force the values.

  • Ephesians 2:4-9 – But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD

  • James 2:14-26 – What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also

ONE KIND OF FAITH

  • Ephesians 2:8-9 – For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

ANOTHER KIND OF FAITH

  • Faith without works is dead.
  • James 2:17, 26  – Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead…26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

WHY THE CONTRADICTION?  IT’S NOT A CONTRADICTION.

  • THERE IS THE KIND OF FAITH THAT IS FAITH UNTO SALVATION WHICH IS GOD GETTING YOU INTO HEAVEN
  • THEN THERE IS THE KIND OF FAITH THAT IS A GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – WHICH IS YOU GETTING HEAVEN INTO THIS EARTH
    • That’s a when you become victorious. That’s when you see tremendous change and transformation.
  • One kind of faith is the gift of God toward salvation. That requires the work of Jesus. But the other kind of faith is the gift of God unto the Holy Ghost.
    • In other words, one gift of faith is to get you from this earth into heaven.
    • The other gift of faith is to get heaven into this earth through you.

Dark Speech

DREAMS & DARK SPEECH

Job 33:14-18

For God may speak in one way, or in another,

Yet man does not perceive it.

15 In a dream, in a vision of the night,

When deep sleep falls upon men,

While slumbering on their beds,

16 Then He opens the ears of men,

And seals their instruction.

17 In order to turn man from his deed,

And conceal pride from man,

18 He keeps back his soul from the Pit,

And his life from perishing by the sword.

That was from the Old Testament and the book of Job is thought to be the oldest book in the Bible, written even before Moses penned Genesis.

So, does God still speak to us in dreams today?

Especially today. We’re so busy and distracted, our sleep time is often the only opportunity The Lord has to communicate with us and call us to Him.

DREAMS ARE ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

Numbers 12:6-8

“Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream. 7 Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. 8 I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings; And he sees the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?”

  • The Hebrew word for “Dark Speech” here is CHIDAH – riddle, question, perplexing

  • Chidah, or “dark speech” is the language of dreams.

WHY RIDDLES, PARABLES AND PERPLEXITIES? RELATIONSHIP!

  • Proverbs 15:2 – It is the glory of God to conceal a matter…
  • Proverbs 8:17 – I love those who love me and those who seek me diligently will find me.

DOORS HAVE TO DO WITH ACCESS TO JESUS.

  • SO, WHAT’S THE SIGNIFICANCE OF KNOCKING? LET’S LOOK AT SCRIPTURE:

Revelation 3:8

“I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.”

THIS IS JESUS SAYING, “BECAUSE YOU HAVE SERVED ME WELL BY SERVING OTHERS SELFLESSLY, I AM GIVING YOU FAVOR THAT NO MAN CAN STOP.

OPEN THE DOOR. LET GOD IN BECAUSE HE WANTS TO TALK WITH YOU!

Knocking on God’s door signifies using your favor.

• Hearing God knock is a word about faith.

This should blow you away: there are 10 scriptures (10 = perfect order) which speak of knocking on doors – spiritual doors. Seven (7 = the Spirit of God) are about knocking and using your favor.

God is passionate for you to experience, for you to gain all the Freedom that He gave up for you to have. Yet many believers in this process on the road to reach their identity, find themselves time and time again getting stuck. What if that is you? Or what if you know a loved one or friend who is stuck…Let me ask you this…

Do you understand what Jesus was saying in

John 14:6  (NIV)

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 8:31-32 (NIV)

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”

Freedom: The state of not being imprisoned or enslaved; to be loosed from bondage or captivity

So if we discover Truth we understand that it’s not limited to a concept but it’s truly found in a person…Jesus is truth…Then truth discovered gets us unstuck.

Heres what would be good for us to understand about being stuck and how discovering Truth get’s us unstuck…

We become enabled

Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…

We become empowered

…according to his power that is at work within us..

Truth enables us and empowers us to get unstuck in the processes and the ups and downs to our identity. Cause Truth is not a concept it’s a Person.  We have to realize its just not uncovering something new a fresh Revelation, a new teaching or more Bible studies. Those are good and we need to do those things but when advancing in the Kingdom there needs to be a Relational Journey and that this comes in 2 parts

1 There is a great value for knowledge…Truth being made know or aware

2 Then there is encounter…With out a living encounter of the Truth our learning and discovery becomes only Academic and Powerless…which means  no fruit or transformation

Disappointment occurs when our experience of Truth is less or below our knowledge of it. People find themselves stuck when they think Breakthrough requires more understanding, knowledge, study, research ….

No matter how good the material is, even when its the bible the word of God, we still have to have relational encounters with its Author for it to bring life breakthrough movement Freedom.

What if our Bible Studies, small group meetings and studies, Worship services and sermons, conferences…

What if they created

What if they manufactured

What if they spurred you on to an encounter of what you are hearing, reading, studying, signing

These encounters are not to be the end all. They are to open each of us up to Taste…To SEE…To experience…To Understand…To desire….To Want More.

We are to Hope; What is another way to say Hope?

The Moses Principle: More wants more

I think we can safely say that few human beings have experienced God on this earth to the extent that Moses did. From meeting God in the burning bush, to parting the Red Sea, to watching manna fall from heaven, Moses saw much of God. In fact, after Israel’s escape from slavery in Egypt, God made it clear that Moses was the bearer of a special privilege when it came to God’s presence.

After leading the Israelite people to Mount Sinai through the Red Sea and away from Pharaoh’s army, God met with Moses on top of the mountain in a thick cloud.1 Strict rules were given before God descended upon the peak. These rules prohibited anyone from setting an inch of their person on even the foot of the mountain.2 The penalty for such an action was death. No one was to enter into this unique presence of God except Moses. Like one of those nightclubs with a line of people outside waiting to get in, God unfastened the rope from the stanchion and invited Moses into his presence. This was VIP territory.

The thick darkness of God scorched the top of the mountain like a consuming cloud. The people were terrified. But Moses entered in, and he spent time on the mountain with God. Moses experienced what it was like to behold a level and an intensity of the presence of God that you and I cannot even fathom. But the more of God he got, the more of God he wanted.

Even on the mountaintop, more wants more.

God finished giving Moses some instructions when Moses made a unique and audacious request. “Please show me your glory,” Moses said (Exodus 33:18). What? Hadn’t he seen enough? Had the glory of God not been made manifest to him in manifold ways? Was the staff-to-serpent trick not enough for Moses? What about when God defied nature to push the flat and flooded sea up like walls and dried up the perpetually soaked sea floor so that it was like concrete? Was that not enough glory for Moses to behold?

He entered into the cloud of thick darkness on top of Mount Sinai. He went into the places of God where no human being had ever been. He spoke with God like one human speaks with another. He moved from general presence to relational presence to visible presence. After all this, had he not seen enough of God’s glory? Apparently Moses had not.

This is the Moses Principle: more wants more.

The presence of God had tossed the soul of Moses high into the air, and he wanted to sail higher still. The nearness of God tickled the heart of Moses, and he wanted to laugh more deeply still. The more Moses got of God, the more Moses wanted of God. The more we experience of God in this life, the more of God we will desire. That is the Moses Principle.

Most of us have been conditioned to Expect Less not more. We expect to get stuck in the struggle and come to anticipate that life will be hard and relief is reserved for only when we are in Heaven.

Can I make this clear that is not who the Father is? He is the God of

John 10:10 (NIV)

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

God is good and He desires us to continue to have Encounter after Encounter with him.

He desires to flood us in Truth (The fullness of Him) and the Truth of who He is to us and to wash away all our concerns and reservations about yourself that doesn’t measure up to how He views and knows us.

What if on our journey there is 100’s of Encounters for us to have in God with God and so far you have only accessed just a few. What if He has been so creative is His expression that we have failed to realize or recognize many encounters where actually Him.

People become Stuck because they don’t see as the Lord does. I wonder if the Lord is inviting you and me to become unstuck and our encounters and experiences with the Lord are vital to bring us through this process.

What if the new Upgrade goes beyond Questions to having encounters. The Bible is full of normal Ordinary people who had extraordinary encounters and became extraordinary themselves in the process. the qualification  or requirement is not bound to age or restrictive to skill or ability or IQ.

Its being receptive at the right place at the right time to discover to be aware new and wonderful in Jesus.

Delight yourself in the Lord share with Him the desires of your heart with the confidence and Joy that it is as stated in

Luke 12:32 (NKJV)

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Accept His invitation to become unstuck through your encounters with Him.

So let’s unpack How Encounters and Experiences with God occur and how they don’t. Let’s get an understanding 1st… that it is God who is the initiator of our spirituality. Our devotional life is our response to Him to His invitation.

That means the responsibility for the experiences with the Truth in never on us it rest solely on Him. When other say I try to have God encounters but they never happen the reason they don’t ism found in the word TRY.

There is no trying on our part. When we think the responsibility for connecting with the Father is on our shoulders it turns into a life choking yoke. It’s fruit is stress, discouragement, and burn out.

One of my favorite Truths is so amazing. It’s often that I remind myself that Jerry there is nothing I can do that would make The Father love any more than He already does. And there is nothing that I can do to make Him love me any less.

The Father say’s,”I love you because I love you because i love you because that is what I am like, that is my heart and nature toward you.

It’s the same with our encounters with the Father. He will be the initiator and our part is to be present, aware, looking expecting wanting, and in this place we do it with rejoicing.

By doing this we are cultivating a greater sensitivity to how He is always present with us. And at any given moment an encounter can happen. God is the initiator of all spirituality. It’s completely up to Him how He chooses to make Himself known.

We are the responders meant to live a responsive life to His love, His goodness, and His grace. It’s staying in an attitude of thankfulness. Thanking Him for who He is, rejoicing in His potato, kindness, and faithfulness.

Being still in that place and that posture, focusing on knowing that he is God and is also our Good Father. Knowing that Jesus loves you, me outrageously and that we are the Holy Spirit delight. They are all in it together. Its a complete package reserved for you in the encounters. Can’t you see the encounters is what allows you and I to engage in what He has for us and what He wants us to experience.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A REVIVAL & HOW DO YOU START A REVIVAL?

  • ARE WE RESPONSIBLE FOR STARTING A REVIVAL?
  • IS A REVIVAL PART OF THE SOVEREIGN WILL OF GOD – MEANING HE HAS GOD ORDAINED CERTAIN SEASONS AND AND CERTAIN NATIONS TO EXPERIENCE AN OUTPOURING OF HIS PRESENCE?
  • OR IS REVIVAL HEAVEN’S RESPONSE TO SOMETHING WE INITIATE?
  • Can we preach or pray ourselves into revival?
  • Is revival both a sovereign move of God and a response from heaven to the people who are crying lout for it?

ONCE REVIVAL HAPPENS, WHAT ARE OUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN MAINTAINING IT?

  • God brings the fire but the priests keep it burning on the altar.
  • God does it but you have to maintain it.
  • How do you maintain the atmosphere that comes with revival that is far greater than the activity of revival.
  • Is there a grace for revival?

The fear of the Lord is coming

  • Habakkuk 3:2 – “O Lord, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O Lord, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.”
  • The apostle Paul, writing in the New Testament, told believers to be “perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1).
  • Again, in Ephesians 5:21, Paul instructed believers to be “submitting to one another in the fear of God.”
  • In fact, walking in the fear of God characterized the church in the book of Acts. There we read that the churches were…
  • “walking in the fear of the Lord” (Acts 9:31).

THE PRINCIPLE OF PRIORITY:

  • THE BIBLE IS WRITTEN IN SUCH A WAY THAT EVEN HOW IT IS WRITTEN IS PROPHETIC
  • Matthew 5:18 – For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

REPETITION IMPLIES IMPORTANCE.

  • WHEN THE BIBLE HAS A HUGE EMPHASIS ON SOMETHING, WE SHOULD HAVE A HUGE EMPHASIS ON SOMETHING.
  • The fear of God is so important, that the phrase “fear of the Lord” appears 27 times in the Bible (NKJV), “fear of God” appears 8 times, “fear Him” (with reference to God) appears 23 times, “fear the Lord” appears 33 times, “fear God” appears 17 times, “feared God” appears 5 times, “feared the Lord” appears 10 times, “feared Me” (with reference to God) appears once, “fear Me” (with reference to God) appears 8 times, “fears God” appears 4 times, “fears the Lord” appears 7 times, and “fears Him” (with reference to God) appears once.
  • “THE FEAR OF THE LORD”
    • 144 TIMES
    • 12 X 12
    • That’s at least 144 references to fearing God in the Bible, with 19 of those appearing in the New Testament.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD

  • THE FEAR OF GOD MEANS TO PRIORITIZE WHAT GOD PRIORITIZES.
  • THE FEAR OF GOD MEANS TO MAKE YOUR AGENDA ABOUT THE KINGDOM’S AGENDA.
  • THE FEAR OF GOD MEANS TO MAKE A BIG DEAL OUT OF WHAT GOD MAKES A BIG DEAL OUT OF.
  • THE FEAR OF GOD MEANS TO LOVE WHAT GOD LOVES AND HATE WHAT GOD HATES.

The first reason every Christian should love Israel is simply because Jesus loves Israel.

  • The term “Israel” is mentioned 2,319 times in the Bible.
  • Jerusalem is mentioned 810 times.
  • He judges the nations according to the fruit they bear in how the walked in the fear of the Lord…
  • The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations; Matthew 25:31 – “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’”

Acts of redemption

  • Feeding the hungry
  • Providing clean water
  • Taking personal responsibility for unprotected people
  • Clothing naked people
  • Looking after the sick
  • Having compassion on the imprisoned
  • Matthew 25:37-40 – “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
  • Taking responsibility for the care of Israel the way you would any vulnerable person.

We know that according to Romans 11:14 that the job of Christians is to provoke Israel to jealousy.

  • How God blesses us
  • How God loves us
  • How God speaks to us and  hand his hand upon us

But for those of us who support Israel, we should provoke our brothers and sisters in Christ to jealousy. 

Look at how blessed they are.

  • Look at how much favor they have.
  • Look at the accelerated time frames they walk in.
  • Look at how God gives the simple solutions to complicated issues.
  • Look at the logistical miracles that God performs for them and we should be saying. “Jump in!!!!”

THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES IS FULFILLED

  • It is revealed through scripture that when the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled, the Messiah will return to a Jewish Jerusalem that cries out, “Blessed is he who comes the name of the name of the Lord.”
  • The return of Jesus is not dependent upon a world-wide revival. The return of Jesus is waiting of an Israeli revival.
  • This is the purpose of Jesus so we need to grow from just supporting the nation of Israel because Jesus loves Israel. Actually taking on His agenda to see Israel saved is a much deeper revelation of the FEAR OF THE LORD.
    • IF YOU’RE GOING TO LOVE WHAT JESUS LOVES, YOU ARE GOING TO SUPPORT ISRAEL.
    • IF YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE AND SUPPORT GOD’S PLAN FOR ISRAEL, YOU WILL SUPPORT THE MESSIANIC CHURCH.

I TRULY BELIEVE THE NEXT  & LAST GREAT REVIVAL IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO HOW THE CHURCH IS RECONCILED WITH ISRAEL.

  • THE SEPARATION OF JEW AND GENTILE MUST BE ADDRESSED AND WHERE WE CAN REPENT, WE NEED TO SIMPLY REPENT.
  • IF ISRAEL PLAYS A KEY ROLE IN THE END TIME REDEMPTION OF THE WORLD,  THE END TIME GENTILE CHURCH PLAYS A KEY ROLE IN MAKING SURE A REVIVAL CAN HAPPEN IN ISRAEL.
  • SUPPORT OF THE MESSIANIC CHURCH IS VITAL
  • IT’S ALWAYS BEEN IN THE HEAVENS …
    • Psalm 133:1-3 – Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing—Life forevermore.

Greeting to the Called

Contend for the Faith

Old and New Trouble Makers

Calling Them as They Are

We Knew They Were Coming

16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

Maintain Your Life with God

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

22 And on some have compassion, making a difference; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

Measures of His Presence

Measures of His Presence – July 13, 2019

A lot of people are very uncomfortable about talking about God showing up, His Spirit falling upon us, or the Holy Spirit moving in a meeting, etc. Often, as we get ready to minister to people, we will invite the Holy Spirit to come. The question is, “Why invite God to come when He is already here?” It’s a good question. It makes no sense whatsoever to pray that way unless we understand there are different measures and dimensions of God’s Presence.

Omnipresence  |  Manifest presence 

When He is here, there is always more to come. It’s important to hunger for and invite that increase. Isaiah had a perception of this reality, saying,

Isaiah 6:1-4 – In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” 4 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

The word “filling” implies that His robe filled the temple, but then continued to fill it. He came, but He kept coming. There is always more!

This is at least a partial list of these measures of His Presence; each one is an increase of the previous:

God first inhabits everything and holds all things together.  

  • Colossians 1:17 – And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
  • He is everywhere, the glue that holds His creation in place.

  • Reading about it upgrades to Revelation
  • Revelation upgrades to Experience (Encounter)
  • Experience upgrades to Demonstration
  • Demonstration upgrades to Impartation (Activating)
  • Impartation upgrades to Equipping 

A second measure of God’s Presence is His indwelling Holy Spirit in the lives of those who have been born again.

He specifically comes to make us His tabernacle.

Just like the earth, the Spirit of the Lord being in the life of every believer does not mean He is manifest in ever believer.

A third measure is seen when believers gather in His name. As He promised, He is “there in their midst.” 

  • This is where the principle of exponential increase comes into play.
  • Matthew 18:20 – “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Exponential Synergy

1 Corinthians 13:9 – For we know in part and we prophesy in part…

A fourth measure, or dimension, occurs when God’s people praise Him. He says He “inhabits the praises of His people” (Psalms 22:3).

  • He is already in our midst but has chosen to manifest Himself upon us more powerfully in that atmosphere.

A fifth measure is seen when the Temple of Solomon was dedicated. God came so profoundly that priests were incapacitated. 1 Kings 8:10-11)

  • 1 Kings 8:10-11 – And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, 11 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.
  • No one could even stand, let alone play instruments or sing. They were completely undone at that measure of Presence.
  • I mention these five levels, only as principles, in an effort to give a snapshot of how He longs to increase His manifestation upon His people. The day of Pentecost and the gift of the baptism in the Holy Spirit may, in fact, illustrate all of these principles combined as an entire city came under the influence of God’s manifest Presence.
  • These various measures of Presence are recorded both in history and in Scripture. Reformation and revival history shows us what’s available. The responsibility for the measure of God’s Presence that we carry lies with us. We always have what we earnestly want.
  • We are called into fellowship with God. In this process, He has made it possible for us not only to come to know Him, but also to have Him live inside us and even rest upon us. Everything we could ever want out of life flows from that one privilege. King David understood this concept better than most New Testament believers. He referred to it as the one thing

Psalms 27:4  – One thing I have desired of the Lord,That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.

  • All of life gets reduced to one thing—how we steward the Presence of God.
  • How we make a big deal out of the Presence of the Lord in our life. 
  • Stewarding the Presence of God, hosting the Presence, is the only way these impossible dreams can be accomplished.

  1. We cant be too impressed with inferior things.
  2. We must be impressed with the presence of the Lord. 

  • God wants us to leave a legacy and a big part of your legacy has to do with what people know you have done/
  • MY HISTORY IS HIS STORY
  • Doing exploits and the power of testimony
  • We must have amazing stories  that are passed down for the next generation.

  • YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE FAMOUS FOR WHAT YOU DID NOT BELIEVE.
  • YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FAMOUS WHAT YOU DID NOT DO.

James 2:18-24  – But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

  • pray unceasingly
  • give sacrificially
  • dream outrageously
  • serve whole heartedly
  • walk innocently
  • believe undoubtingly
  • live powerfully
  • Laugh loudly
  • Confront the impossible
  • chart out the uncharted
  • make hell back down and run off like the cowardly defeated bunch it is
  • astonish somebody, bless somebody impress somebody live like Jesus Christ  is actually resurrected from the dead and like that Power is living in you and do not apologize for it.

Hebrews 11:8-11 – By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

The chapter divisions commonly used today were developed by Stephen Langton, an Archbishop of Canterbury. Langton put the modern chapter divisions into place in around A.D. 1227.

Hebrews 12:1-2 – Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

One of the mammoth obstacles to Jesus accomplishing His mission was the cross and the shame. He didn’t make as big of a deal out of the shame as He made a big deal out do the glory.

Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Part 1: The Great Escape

God has given you dominion

1 Corinthians 10:11-13 – Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

It can be said the message of the Old Testament is come:

Adam where are you?   Come to Me…

Matthew 28:19 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost…

Mark 16:15 – And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

What are the first 2 letters of the Gospel? GO!

Psalm 126:6 – He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Nothing happens until we go!

You must be set free to go!

The Hebrew word we translate into three English words “Come to me” is in the Bible 2,106 times.

Acts 5:20 – Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

Jesus said it, and Jesus did it!

Mark 1:38 – And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

Mark 5:19 [Jesus cast demon out of man…] – Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

Matthew 13:3 – And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow...

Let’s went! Many used to be in the habit of witnessing, but your get up and go done got up and went!

This old coot is a man by the name of Forrest Tucker. He was a career criminal and was even robbing banks in the 70s.  Known as the “Gentleman Bandit” because he was polite while he threatened your life and robbed you, Tucker stole more than four million dollars from banks through his career.  He dies in 2004 at the age of 83 right here in Forth Worth, Texas. While that’s a big deal, I’m going to tell you something about this man that’s a much bigger deal: He was an escape artist. He escaped from prison. Not once. Not twice, but a total of 18 times

including Alcatraz and San Quentin.

We have to confront the parts of us that crave a cage!

  • Any lie we believe about ourselves can gain the power to keep us in bondage and rob us of hope. It can become a tyrant that oppresses and restrains us.
  • So, how can we resist and overcome such influences when they take root in our lives? Remember the words of Jesus:

John 8:32 – “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

What’s true is what’s real and on-target with what God says.

As a matter of fact, God doesn’t do things — He embodies them.

We live; He is life. We love; He is love. We think; He is knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. We dream; He is the fulfillment of every dream, even ones we are not yet capable of conceiving. He is the One whose power and guidance is what we need to walk unencumbered and free.

Isaiah 55:9 – “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

What freedom do you seek? Is it freedom from addiction? Freedom from financial worry? Freedom from anxiety and fear? Freedom from relationship problems? Freedom from violence and oppression? Freedom from judgement and hate – either self-imposed or from others?

Jesus’ ministry echoes and fulfills the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17). We hear proclaimed and see demonstrated the Year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25) when God instructed the people to release their neighbors from the bonds of oppression imposed by generational poverty – regardless of what caused that poverty. Jesus set people free from disease and disorder – regardless of what caused these problems. Jesus set people free from guilt and shame – regardless of the circumstances or complicity of their sin and brokenness.

Luke 4:18 – “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free…”

We need to find ourselves doing a fearless moral inventory. This inventory causes us to look at our entire life, including people, incidents, and whatever triggers emotions. Then we have to share our story with one another.

“The practice of confession, repentance, and forgiveness is huge in learning to be an escape artist.”

If you’re unsure of your dream:

1. Think about who your dream serves. Who is your neighbor your dream will serve? How is the world a better place because your dream is realized.

2. Ask what actions cause you to lean into God because you know you can’t do them on your own.

3. Trust your Father and partner with Him. This means spending time in God’s Word.   How can you be in God’s Word today? How can you wrap your head around who He is to you in this new endeavor you’re going after? Who are you to Him?

4. If a dream keeps burning inside you, keep turning it back to God. Talk to God about it. Have an ongoing narrative with the Lord. Delight yourself in Him and He will guide your steps.

  • Psalms 37:4 – Also delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5. Take baby steps then giant steps. Just go! Remember, there is no finish line.

Part 2: GET UP AND GO! The power of getting up and going

Philip & the Ethiopian Eunuch
Acts 8:26-40
Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.”

30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”

31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 The place in the Scripture which he read was this:

“He was led as a sheep to the slaughter;
And as a lamb before its shearer is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
33 In His humiliation His justice was taken away,
And who will declare His generation?
For His life is taken from the earth.”

34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. 36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”

37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.”

And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.

Part 3: A BIG PICTURE VISIONARY

This challenging message is designed to be empowering, life-giving, and confrontational in a way that convinces you God is who He says He is and you are who He says you are.
Romans 12:1 (NKJV) – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:1 (AMPC) – I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
Romans 12:1 (PTV) – In light of how merciful God has been to you, I want to urge you – even beg you, brothers – to decide to dedicate your entire life – everything you are responsible for – as a living sacrifice, totally devoted (Holy) and totally dedicated to glorifying God, which is how you rationally and intelligently serve and worship God.
I want to urge you brothers…
The aim of Romans 12:1–2 is that all of life would become “spiritual worship.” Verse 1: “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” The aim of all human life in God’s eyes is that Christ would be made to look as valuable as He is. Worship means using our minds, hearts and bodies to express the worth of God and all He is for us in Jesus. There is a way to live — a way to love — that does that.
How valuable God is to you determines how much your life worships Him. Worship is “worth–ship.”

GOD IS COUNTING UPON YOU TO ACT LIKE YOU’RE SAVED – TO ACT LIKE YOU ARE VICTORIOUS – to act like God is amazing and has made your life amazing.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE KING THAT HIS PEOPLE ARE ENCOURAGED AND EMPOWERED BELIEVERS FULL OF HOPES, DREAMS, FAITH AND CONFIDENCE. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE KING THAT THE PEOPLE IN HIS KINGDOM ARE SO EMPOWERED, THEY TAKE ON HELL WITH A WATER PISTOL AND COURAGEOUSLY MOVE THE KINGDOM FORWARD.
Our mission team just got back from the Amzon jungle where they saw signs, miracles and wonders…
Our prison teams are faithfully serving and courageously preaching the Gospel of freedom in total defiance to the obvious spirit of bondage there.
Our rescue teams are saving nearly 100 girls out of sexual slavery every single month throughout the world.
Our Food Bank is giving away close to 500,000 pounds of food every single month to poor and hurting families, isolated elderly people, and single moms and dads.
And you don’t do that if your scared. You don’t do that if you’re demoralized, depressed, balled up or locked down. You have to be free, full of the Holy Spirit and determined to advance the Kingdom for the sake of the King’s heart!

 

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HELL THAT YOU ARE DEMORALIZED AND UNWILLING TO ACT.
The Kingdom of hell’s fundamental belief systems are designed to keep you a slave. This is one way to put you in bondage:
Hell says, “It’s somebody else’s responsibility to advance you.”
Just turn everything over to some benevolent pharaoh or worldly king.
1 Samuel 8:10-22 (ESV) Samuel’s Warning Against Kings – So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. 11 He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. 12 And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. 15 He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. 16 He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17 He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. 18 And in that day you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.” 19 But the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel. And they said, “No! But there shall be a king over us…”

You don’t need another King! King Jesus has appointed YOU to be a king! He’s the King of Kings.
Hell says, “It’s somebody else’s fault you are not successful.”
Jesus says, “Take up your bed and walk!”

 

PROMISED LAND LIVING
Deuteronomy 6:11
Houses you didn’t build or fill up.
Wells you didn’t have to dig.
Vineyards you didn’t have to plant.
“when you have eaten and are full”
This is both a promise and a warning.
Luke 12:48 – …to much who is given much is expected.
You are responsible for having the big picture that your entire life is supposed to glorify God.

Romans 12:2 (PTV) – Don’t let the world mold, shape and define you. Instead, be transformed and miraculously changed so you can show proof what God’s heart and desire is – whether it’s good, acceptable or completed to the fullest extent.
prove: to throughly examine and confirm its authentic
Embracing whatever is going to happen or embracing the responsibility of making the will of God happen.
We have to understand our role in fulfilling God’s purpose.
I have a role in influencing the results of my life.
That’s why He commands us to not be dismayed or discouraged.

The GOOD will of God is always the beginning stage of God’s heart and desire (will).
THE GOODNESS OF GOD BRINGS MEN TO REPENTANCE AND REPENTANCE IS ALWAYS THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY.
Romans 12:21 – IT IS GOOD THAT OVERCOMES EVIL

 

It’s the tip of the spear when the arrow of the Kingdom comes into some new territory.
We are commanded to overcome evil by displacing it with the goodness of God.
Acts10:38, Jesus went about doing good: Any definition of the sovereignty of God that allows for evil to exist as the will and purpose of God is a blasphemous definition.

THE ACCEPTABLE WILL OF GOD IS DIFFERENT. IT HAS TO DO WITH WHAT GOD IS COMPATIBLE WITH EVEN THOUGH IT’S REALLY NOT COMPLETE – IT’S NOT YET WHAT IT SHOULD BE.
God can only manifest in what He is compatible with.
ACCEPTABLE – “COMPATIBLE WITH GOD’S PRESENCE”
PERFECT DOESN’T MEAN FLAWLESS. IT MEANS “COMPLETED.”
THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD IS WHEN GOD GETS HIS WAY – ALL THE WAY – AND HIS HEART’S DESIRE IS WRAPPED UP AND COMPLETED.

Grow, Go and Grab it! It’s not up to anybody but you.
Nobody else is coming to make it happen for you.
You’re not a victim or a slave. You’re a bad motor scooter.
Fight for it. Take up your bed and walk.
Let God give you a fresh and much-greater vision with clear definition that all of your life can and must advance. All of your life belongs to God and you are going to prove how wonderful His heart is by moving forward in every way you possibly can.
The reasonable way I truly show how valuable God is to me or how I worship him is by presenting my entire life as a living sacrifice.

Part 4: THE WILL & THE WAYS OF GOD

There are 2 Greek words
1) It’s going to happen no matter what.
2) His wish, His heart’s desires

The will of God:
Acts 5:34  – Then one in the council stood up, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in respect by all the people, and commanded them to put the apostles outside for a little while. 35 And he said to them: “Men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what you intend to do regarding these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. He was slain, and all who obeyed him were scattered and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census, and drew away many people after him. He also perished, and all who obeyed him were dispersed. 38 And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; 39 but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”
Gamaliel was a first-century Jewish rabbi and a leader in the Jewish Sanhedrin. Gamaliel is mentioned a couple of times in Scripture as a famous and well-respected teacher. Indirectly, Gamaliel had a profound effect on the early church.
Gamaliel was a Pharisee!
This is what a Pharisee says: “If it’s a God’s will, it will happen. If it not God’s will, it won’t.”

You might need a pharisee-ectomy.
Terrible things happen and the conclusions we come to are not the truth.
Example 1: Somebody got cancer and during that time, the family rallied around each other. We can truly see the goodness of God in the situation so we begin to accept the idea that God brought cancer into that persons life.
Example 2: Somebody commits a terrible crime that really hurts somebody. In prison, that person gets saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. If your not careful, you will begin to think it was God’s will that the person perpetrated the crime and the people were hurt.
God brings His goodness and His purpose into things that are not His goodness and His purpose.
The will of God is also called the “Kingdom of God”
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Kingdom is where the King has dominion
Any definition of the sovereignty of God that allows for evil to exist as the will and purpose of God, is a blasphemous definition.
Any definition of the sovereignty of God that doesn’t allow for my responsibility to partner with Him is lazy theology.
“Mystery and Revelation”

 

There are levels of God’s will just like there are levels of your will – things you prefer or value over other things. “Good, acceptable and perfect will of God.”

The GOOD will of God
Is always the beginning stages of God’s heart and desire (will).
IT IS THE GOODNESS OF GOD THAT BRINGS MEN TO REPENTANCE. REPENTANCE IS ALWAYS THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY.
IT IS GOOD THAT OVERCOMES EVIL (Romans 12:21)

Part 5: The Power To Gain Wealth

Today is August the 18th – 8-18 and this is yours to claim this very day.

Deuteronomy 8:18 – “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

  • WEALTH IS NOT A SIN!
    • If being wealthy was a sin, God would not give you the power to gain it.

Wealth and Riches | Wealthy People and Rich People

  • Riches are the things; the way you get money. Wealth is what you have and how you use it to influence.
  • Rich people are lured and attracted to riches while wealthy people are attracted to making a difference and powerful impact.
  • Rich people are motivated by what they can gain while wealthy people are motivated by what they can accomplish.
  • Wealthy people are motivated by their dreams, purposes or their passions.
  • This is so Kingdom! This is also why you need to have a Holy hatred for poverty. Where there is poverty, there are no dreams, no purpose and no passion.

It is God who gives you the power to gain wealth.

  • Now you have to gain it, but it is God who gives you the power, ability, anointing, and the opportunity to gain it.
  • If you do not Grow, Go and Grab it, you will live life in poverty and never have your dreams fulfilled, your purpose accomplished or your passion vindicated.
  • There and two common lies about wealth the snake will whisper into easily deceived people.
    • Hell says, “It’s somebody else’s responsibility to advance you.”
    • Hell says, “It’s somebody else’s fault you are not successful.”
      • Don’t believe that. Receive the command from King Jesus to take up your bed and walk.

With faith, He gives you the power to gain wealth.

  • Power = vigor + the capacity (means) to do something
    • Power is supernatural strength. Supernatural strength is part of your faith package. Grace is God-given ability to overcome something.
    • The word “power” is in the Bible 263 times.
      • David said in Psalm 62:11: God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.
      • Isaiah said in chapter 40:29: He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
      • Daniel said hundreds of years before Christ in his prophecy of King Jesus: Daniel 2:37 – You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory…
      • Jesus Himself prophesied to the disciples and said Acts 1:8 – “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
      • Acts 4:33 – And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.
    • “Yes” to overcome disease. “Yes” to overcome the grave. “Yes” to cast out demons but know this – it is God who gives you the power to gain wealth!
  • The Hebrew word in Deuteronomy 8:18: Wealth = a force, whether of means or other resources
  • A force means an unstoppable momentum and, in this case, it means finances, records and assets.
    • Deuteronomy 8:18 – “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
    • Deuteronomy 8:18 (PTV) – And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability, capacity and supernatural power to Grow Go and Grab an unstoppable momentum of finances, assets and influence.
      • THIS IS PART OF HIS COVENANT

I DECLARE IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME…

I am a supernatural giver and find joy in generosity.

I can be trusted with worldly wealth and true riches.

I am content with the things I have.

You, God, supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory!

I sow bountifully and will reap bountifully 30, 60 and 100 fold!

My heart is with You, Lord, and so is my treasure.

I am a lender, not a borrower.

You are blessing the works of my hands.

You have brought me streams in the desert and highways in the wilderness.

YOU HAVE GIVEN ME THE POWER TO GAIN WEALTH.

Accelerated timelines and trajectory are mine!

You are advancing me to new heights and obstacles are being removed.

I will not live in poverty!

I am in alignment for my assignment.

I am going after my destiny.

This is your covenant and mine on 8-18 according to Deuteronomy 8:18.

Now release angels for the performance of your word.

I believe it. I believe it! I am ready! I am grateful!

In the mighty name of King Jesus, AMEN!

Riches and honor are with me, Enduring riches and righteousness.

Deuteronomy 8:18 – God Gives You the Power to Gain Wealth

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Joshua 8:18 – Time of financial justice. The return of what was lost or thrown away.

Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Stretch out the spear that is in your hand toward Ai, for I will give it into your hand.” And Joshua stretched out the spear that was in his hand toward the city. (The enemy didn’t steal Joshua’s victory at Ai. He defeated himself by not seeking the Lord’s counsel. The in-a-me.)

Ezra 8:18 – Seeking wise counsel leads to upgrade and financial freedom

Then, by the good hand of our God upon us, they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli the son of Levi, the son of Israel, namely Sherebiah, with his sons and brothers, eighteen men…

(These eighteen men were all men of understanding. Surround yourself with people going after upgrade and financial freedom.)

2 Chronicles 8:18 – Unbelievers Will Give to Kingdom Projects

And Hiram sent him ships by the hand of his servants, and servants who knew the sea. They went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and acquired four hundred and fifty talents of gold from there, and brought it to King Solomon.

Isaiah 8:18 – Unbelievers will see what we have and be drawn into the light.

Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel, From the Lord of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion.

Luke 8:18 – Past Generosity and Stewardship Determines Future Abundance

“Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”

Psalms 81:8 – Allow Him to advise and urge us on our finances. Humble ourselves to Him so He can lift us up out of debt and circumstances.

“Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you! O Israel, if you will listen to Me!”

Romans 8:18 – Glory will be revealed in this season

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Daniel 8:18 – This is a time of being touched by God in our finances

Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood me upright.

Zechariah 8:18 – God has spoken to us concerning finances

Then the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying…

Acts 8:18 – Kingdom upgrade cannot be bought.

And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money…

Part 6 – WATCH AND REMEMBER

Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

This is covenant REMEMBERING AND BEING WATCHFUL 
HOW WE ARE REMEMBERED,  MANY TIMES, DEPENDS UPON HOW WE WERE WILLING TO REMEMBER THINGS WITHIN OUR LIFETIME. 
One of the ways we finish well is we MARK VICTORY AND WE GIVE GOD GLORY FOR IT 
WE WE HOOK UP WITH THE SPIRIT HE HELPS US REMEMBER RIGHT THINGS 
John 14:24But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
Remembering the right things will motivate you to win battles. 
Remembering the wrong things discourages you to the point of defeat.

King David is famous for saying Psalms 20:7Some trust in chariots and some in horses but we will remember the name of the lord our God. 
Horse and chariots are what you need for deliverance in the midst of terrible battle. David is saying “All I need for certain deliverance is to remember the name of the Lord.” 
How I know God personally.   
God is such an awesome God that He can choose what He remembers and He can choose what He will never remember again.
He is world famous for His sea of forgetfulness because He chooses to remember His love for us and His covenant with us more than He remembers how we have wronged Him. 
I will not forget.  God is like that. He will not forget you. He will not leave you. He will not forsake you. 
Genesis 9:16,…And the bow shall be in the cloud that I may remember the everlasting covenant…            (a bow of strength) 
Even the thief on the Cross turned to Jesus and said, “Remember me Lord when you enter into your kingdom.” 

Since God refuses to remember what we have done against him and he refuses to forget how much he loves us, we should be people who refuse to forget.  
In the King James, there are 148 verses with the word “remember.” 

DON’T FORGET DON’T FORGET DON’T FORGET Lets look at a few of those on the memorial day 

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING 
Remember certain things causes certain things to happen 
1. THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERINGGalatians 4:28 – The promises God has given you  This list will keep you in times of trouble. 
In Galatians 4:28 you and I are called Children of promise 
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.Psalms 27:13
Start off by doing a google or a bing search on scriptures on Gods promises 
Then after that you need to begin to seek the lord and ask God to help you know His specific promises for you personally 
Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE WITH HOPE YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE WITH THE CONSTANT MEMORY OF THE PROMISES GOD HAS GIVEN YOU 
2. THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING The miracles God has done in your life  This list will keep you trusting God
God Almighty warned the people of Israel do not forget the miracles I did for you. Don’t forget how I brought you out of Egypt. Don’t forget. 
You have good reason to trust me. 
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. Ps 77:11
…for thy testimonies are my meditation.                                                                                                                           Psalms 119:99
IF YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE YOUR LIFE TRUSTING GOD, YOU ARE GOING TO REMEMBER HOW GOD HAS DELIVERED YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN 
1. THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING  The privileges and things you love about your life This list will keep you thankful 
John 1:16, NLT From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE A LONG LIST ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR, YOU HAVE A LONG LIST OF WHAT YOU GRIPE ABOUT. 
Remembering how blessed you are will cause you to be thankful. 
1. THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING The prayers God has answered in your life This list will keep you praying.
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. – Psalm 145:18
1. THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING Remember the people God has placed in your life      This list will keep you relational.
Rick Warren writes in The Purpose Driven Life, “I have been at the bedside of many people in their final moments, when they stand on the edge of eternity, and I have never heard anyone say, ‘Bring me my diplomas! I want to look at them one more time. Show me my awards, my medals, that gold watch I was given.’ When life on earth is ending, people don’t surround themselves with objects. What we want around us is people – people we love and have relationships with. In our final moments we all realize that relationships are what life is all about.”
Philippians 1:3-4, NIV I thank God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.

6.  THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING   Galatians 2:10 – Remember the poor  This list will keep you humble and keep you effective in the Kingdom 

7.    THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING 2 Timothy 2:8  – Remember that Jesus Christ is raised from the dead 

REMEMBER that life has slapped death in the face. Remember that JESUS called “The Shot” and prophesied that on the 3rd day he would raise again.  Remember, for those of us who are in Christ, death has no sting and the grave has no victory. Remember, Jesus didn’t just raise from the dead. He was the firstThis is what I remember when I am facing my own mortality. This is what I think of when I begin to feel overwhelmed. I will remember that Jesus Christ is raised from the dead. 
And when I remember that Jesus is raised from the dead is remember that nothing is impossible 
REMEMBERING AND BEING WATCHFUL QUALIFY US FOR ESCAPING TERRIBLE THINGS AND ENTERING INTO WONDERFUL THINGS.
