EXODUS 2 – Moses was hidden in Pharaoh’s palace in a day that all the Jewish baby boys were being slaughtered.
1 SAMUEL 21 & 22 – David hid in the camp of the enemy when Saul and his murderous bunch were hunting him down. David had killed Goliath of Gath when he was a teenager, then as a grown man, he went to Achish, King of Gath, and hid there from Saul.
1 KINGS 17 & 18 – When Jezebel was trying to kill Elijah, God hid the prophet with a widow woman in the town of Zarephath. Zarephath is in Sidon. Jezebel’s father was the King of Sidon, and that city was her stomping ground! She had spies everywhere but Elijah went unnoticed for three and a half years. Reminds me of the scene in the Lord of the Rings where Sam and Frodo use the Elven cloaks given to them by Galadriel to hide from the army of Mordor at the black gate.
