Job 6:14
“Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.”
Brew On This
Do my words and actions toward others reflect the kindness and fear of the Lord—or something less?

Faithful Friends and The Fear of the Lord
Job speaks from the depths of suffering. He is abandoned, misunderstood, and wrongly accused by the very people who should have stood closest to him. His friends, instead of comfort, brought condemnation. When Job was at his lowest, they added weight instead of lifting it. The book of Job pulls the curtain back on several things holy and weighty, one being: how we treat people is tied to how we honor God.
To withhold kindness, to gossip, to backstab, and to speak accusation when someone is already down is spiritual drift. Job calls it what it is: a forsaking of the fear of the Almighty. Heaven takes friendship seriously. God watches how we handle people in their weakness. Do we build them up or break them down? Do we cover them in grace or expose them in judgment?
In the Kingdom, integrity is revealed not in how we treat the strong, but how we treat the broken. Will you be a friend who reflects the heart of God? It’s never too late to do better.
Grounded In Faith
Lord, teach me to be a faithful friend like You are faithful to me. Forgive me for every word or action that has hurt others. Fill me with kindness, integrity, and compassion. Let me never speak or act from judgment, but from love. May I honor You by how I treat people, especially in their weakest moments. Amen.
Pray-A-Latte
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
