Psalm 23: 1-2

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

Brew On This

Where is God inviting you to leave the safety of the shoreline and trust Him in deeper waters?

The Deep End

Many people are comfortable being ankle-deep. But God calls us into the deep places with Him. David refused to live a surface-level life with the Lord. Long before he led armies, he learned to linger in lonely fields with sheep and a harp. He found his song in those deep places. He found his strength.

There comes a moment when every believer must decide whether to remain where faith feels safe or launch into waters where only God can sustain them. The deep is where Peter walked on water. The deep is where Ezekiel saw the river become too deep to cross.

The deep is where David learned that the Shepherd was with him in green fields and dark valleys alike. Many of us ask God to remove every challenge. Instead, He often invites us to discover Him within it. The deep end isn’t dangerous when Jesus is there. Don’t settle for standing on the shoreline collecting seashells while God is inviting you to discover oceans. Deep is calling to deep.

Grounded In Faith

Father, lead me beyond shallow faith into a deeper relationship with You. Teach me to trust Your voice more than my fears and Your presence more than my circumstances. Wherever You lead, I want to follow. Let my confidence rest in the Good Shepherd alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
