TODAY’S PROPHETIC THOUGHT
I Am a God with great objectives. I have called you to partner with Me to achieve them. There will be days you will have to multi-task, but never lose sight of the harvest. Don’t allow the enemy to distract you from your purpose.
BETTER THINGS TO DO
Life is chock full of crisis situations and distractions. If you’re out burning other people’s fields, you’re not minding your own field. You can’t twist off and cause collateral damage because there’s a crisis. I see this happen in churches all the time.
Something bad will happen and they stop everything and address the crisis. They have no clue about crisis management.
I’ll tell you how to do crisis management. You do not stop what you’re doing for the meanest and most disruptive people among you. So, you always do crisis management in light of the harvest and in light of your steps toward the harvest.
“The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord. – Psalm 37:23
If you let the mean, disruptive people in your life dictate your steps, you will always be stepping in the wrong places.
The Bible says in Nehemiah 6 that when Nehemiah was on the wall, people who were not committed to building the wall were actually committed to the destruction of it. They would come to him and say, “Why don’t you come down and debate this? Why don’t you come down and debate that? Why don’t you do this?” Here’s what that genius said:
“I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” – Nehemiah 6:3
There’s great wisdom in this.
I’m a hard working guy and my team is a hard-working group of people. People who cannot work hard cannot last with me. They just can’t keep up. I could spend a lot of time addressing nay-sayers, but that’s not our strategy toward the harvest.
Don’t give the devil two inches by letting him distract you from your strategy. He will have you running down rabbit holes instead of what God has for you to do. Focus on finding the lost and bringing them home, and let the wicked foam. You’ve got better things to do.
