Psalm 108:13
“Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.”
Brew On This
Where has the enemy been trying to turn a clear instruction from God into a negotiable suggestion?
Daily Devotional
Stomp the Snake
In Eden, the serpent did not begin by demanding that Eve reject God completely. He began with a question. “Has God indeed said?” That strategy has not changed much. The enemy still tries to make us question what God clearly said. Did God really mean that? Is obedience really necessary? Rebellion rarely introduces itself as rebellion. It usually calls itself independence, enlightenment, entitlement, or personal preference.
David knew the consequences of stepping outside God’s boundaries. One decision on a rooftop created a chain of sin that brought devastating consequences into his house. Sin always promises more than it delivers. But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. The answer to rebellion is not merely trying harder. It is surrender. The snake loses ground wherever Jesus gains authority.
There is tremendous freedom in simply deciding, “If God said it, that settles it for me.” Rebellion brought humanity into bondage. Obedience to Jesus brings us into freedom. Put your foot down. There are some things that simply do not get to cross the threshold anymore.
Grounded In Faith
Father, expose every place where rebellion, pride, or compromise has gained ground in me. Teach me to recognize the enemy’s voice and answer it with Your truth. I surrender my will to Jesus and choose obedience over convenience. Give me courage to close doors that need closing and humility to receive correction. Establish Your authority in my life and lead me in freedom. Amen.
Pray-A-Latte
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
