The Song of The King
Perfect government exists wherever the King is given His rightful place. We often think of government only in terms of nations, presidents, kings, and laws. But government begins much closer to home. Who governs your heart? Who has authority over your decisions? Who determines what happens with your money, relationships, time, words, and future? We can sing about Jesus being King while quietly governing our own lives. David learned that lesson painfully.
When he submitted to God, there was blessing and order. When he stepped outside of God’s boundaries, disorder followed. The same is true for us. Peace comes when the rightful King sits on the throne. There is a song Heaven recognizes. It is the sound of surrender. “Not my will, but Yours.” That is the song of the King.
Grounded In Faith
King Jesus, take Your rightful place in every area of my life. Govern my thoughts, decisions, relationships, resources, and future. Expose anything I have withheld from Your authority. Bring Kingdom order where I have created confusion. Teach me the freedom of surrender and let my life become a song that declares Your goodness, righteousness, and perfect rule. You alone are worthy to reign. Amen.
