David would eventually have crowds singing his name, warriors following his commands, and an entire nation recognizing his authority. But none of those voices could give him what God’s gaze already had. Beloved. We spend too much time auditioning for rooms Heaven never asked us to enter. Trying to impress people. Trying to prove our worth. Trying to make sure nobody overlooks us. What if you stopped? God knows where the field is.
He knows your address. He knows your name. And when the appointed moment comes, He is perfectly capable of sending for you. Being beloved doesn’t mean life will be painless. David still faced lions, giants, betrayal, caves, and war. But he faced them as someone seen by God. Friend, so do you. You are not hidden from Heaven. Rest beneath His wings. The King knows exactly where to find you.
Grounded In Faith
Father, settle my identity in Your love. Free me from striving to be noticed, chosen, or approved by people. When I feel overlooked, remind me that Your eyes are upon me. Hide me beneath Your wings and teach me to live securely as Your beloved. May every assignment flow from knowing I am already seen, known, and loved by You. Amen.
