Make Bright the Arrows
David didn’t place his confidence in sharpened steel, seasoned soldiers, or military strategy. His confidence rested in the King of kings, whose government never falters and whose wisdom never misses the mark. The number twenty-four speaks of perfect government. Throughout Scripture, twenty-four represents heavenly order. Around the throne are twenty-four elders, seated in worship before the One who rules with perfect justice.
Heaven isn’t chaotic. It isn’t reacting. It is established. The prophet Jeremiah recorded these remarkable words: “Make bright the arrows!” Before the battle, the arrows were polished and prepared. Before God releases His people into their assignment, He prepares them as well.
Every lesson learned, every hardship endured, every victory won in secret becomes another arrow in the King’s quiver. The Lord knows exactly where He intends to send you, and when He releases you, your life will strike the target He has ordained.
Grounded In Faith
Father, thank You for every season of preparation. Sharpen my heart, refine my character, and align my life with Your perfect government. Help me trust that every hidden season is preparing me for greater purpose. May I always be willing to remain in Your hands until You release me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
