1 Samuel 15:22
“To obey is better than sacrifice…”

What would wholehearted surrender look like in your life today?

Consecration:His Way the Better Way
Rebellion rarely announces itself loudly. More often, it whispers, “My way is better.”
King Saul offered sacrifices while ignoring God’s instruction. David, however, learned that
consecration begins with surrender. Though David stumbled, he continually returned with
a repentant heart. Consecration isn’t isolation; it’s dedication.
The more we pause to contemplate the goodness of God, the less attractive rebellion becomes. Worship realigns our hearts. Prayer softens our pride. Scripture recalibrates our thinking and every day presents two invitations: self-rule or God’s rule.
Consecration doesn’t present itself as a checklist of to-do’s. Consecration presents itself
as an invitation to lay it down and truly examine whose authority you are speaking in and acting in. God isn’t looking for polished performances. He’s looking for yielded hearts. His direction will always lead you toward life. The better way is always His way.
Grounded In Faith
Father, search my heart and remove every seed of rebellion.
Teach me to
delight in Your presence and to obey quickly.
Consecrate my thoughts, my words, and my
heart.
Lord, I lay down my life for this call to follow you.
I don’t want to do this my way— Lord, have your way in my life. Amen.
