Through the Lattice
Earthly governments often rule
through fear. Heaven governs through love, wisdom, and righteousness. Though he wore a crown, David continually sought the King above every king. Before making major decisions, David inquired of the Lord because he knew true authority begins with surrender. The picture of the Bridegroom looking through the lattice reminds us that God is never distant.
His watchful eye isn’t one of criticism; it is one of affection and protection. Sometimes we
wonder why God hasn’t answered immediately. Yet from His perfect vantage point, He sees every piece of the puzzle. His government never panics. His timing never fails. When our lives come under His rule, peace replaces chaos.
The Kingdom isn’t simply coming someday; it is advancing today in every heart that willingly
submits to the King. Friend, let Jesus reign over every room of your heart. His government
always brings life.
Grounded In Faith
Lord Jesus, reign over every part of my life.
Teach me to trust Your perfect
government even when I cannot see the whole picture.
Give me a true heart that
continually seeks Your counsel.
Let Your Kingdom come in me today. Amen.
