Habakkuk 2:2
“Then the Lord answered me and said: ‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he
may run who reads it.'”

Make It Plain
David could have trusted his own strength. He could have worn Saul’s armor. He could
have fought like everyone expected him to fight. Instead, he stripped away everything that
wasn’t God’s plan and walked onto the battlefield carrying only what Heaven had prepared.
Sometimes simplicity is the greatest act of faith. God told Habakkuk, “Write the vision and
make it plain.” The Lord is not trying to hide His will from His children. He delights in revealing it. When we quiet our hearts, lay down our pride, and return to simple obedience, His direction becomes wonderfully clear.
David’s victory over Goliath wasn’t complicated. It was simple obedience empowered by extraordinary faith. Don’t allow your flesh to overthink what the Holy Spirit has already made clear. Write the vision. Trust the Shepherd. Then run with confidence toward what God has spoken.
Grounded In Faith
Father, quiet my striving heart.
Help me lay aside my own understanding and
trust Your voice above every other.
Give me courage to obey the simple things You’ve
already spoken.
Thank You for faithfully leading every step of my journey.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
