Galatians 6:9
“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose
heart.”
Brew On This
Where has God called you to remain faithful, even though you haven’t yet seen the fulfillment of His promise?
Daily Devotional
Stay the Course
A horse can sense the barn long before it comes into view. That’s often when the ride gets interesting. The horse wants to hurry home, cut corners, and ignore the rider’s cues. A wise rider knows to keep a steady hand on the reins. Faith works a lot like that. It can be a wild ride at times, but we just need to hold’er steady.
David spent years waiting for a promise God had already spoken. There must have been
days when he wondered if Samuel had anointed the wrong guy. Saul still wore
the crown. Enemies still hunted him. The promise seemed farther away than ever.
Yet David stayed the course.
He refused to force God’s timing. He would not take the throne by taking Saul’s life, even
when the opportunity presented itself. David understood something many of us are still
learning: if God opens the door, we don’t have to kick it down. Friend, faith isn’t passive.
Faith is steadfast.
Friend, don’t confuse delay with denial. Hang on and ride it out. The Lord is doing things we aren’t even aware of. You can trust Him in the waiting. Stay the Course.
Grounded In Faith
Lord, strengthen my faith when the journey feels long. Help me trust Your timing above my own and remain faithful in every season.
Teach me to wait with expectation, serve with joy, and believe Your promises even before I see them fulfilled. You are always faithful. Amen.
Pray-A-Latte
Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.
