Am I living aware that goodness and mercy are actively pursuing every moment of my life?

Goodness On Your Trail, Mercy On
Your Heels
David closes Psalm 23 with a declaration that is a prophetic pursuit with no passivity. He says goodness and mercy will follow me. That means they are actively tracking your life.
Goodness and mercy are not distant ideas; they are divine companions assigned to your journey. Wherever you go, they are going. When you wake up, they are there. When you walk through valleys, they are still moving. When you stand on mountaintops, they are already positioned ahead of you. A king’s heart learns to recognize that he is not being chased by judgment. He is being pursued by grace.
God’s goodness looks for ways to show up in your life. His mercy refuses to let your past define your future. Together, they are always scanning your days for opportunity; waiting for moments to restore, open doors, and speak blessing. Even when you don’t see it, Heaven is not idle around you. Goodness and mercy don’t just follow you into your future; they lead you into the very presence of God.
Even when you don’t see it, Heaven is not idle around you. There is intention behind your timing. There is pursuit behind your progress. And David says this is not seasonal. It is lifelong: all the days of my life. Every single day is marked by divine pursuit.

Father, thank You that Your goodness and mercy are not distant, but are present and pursuing me daily. Open my eyes to see Your hand at work in every season. Let me walk with awareness that I am followed by Your grace. Lead me to dwell in Your presence all the days of my life. Amen.
