Romans 6:18
“You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”
Brew On This
Am I responding to God’s conviction like David did—quickly turning back—or delaying my return to righteousness?
Daily Devotional
Abundance—A King’s Inheritance
Abundant life is not the accumulation of more, but the overflow of God Himself. It is peace that steadies a trembling heart, like David found in the presence of the Shepherd. It is love that restores what sin tried to destroy. It is joy that rises even in caves of hiding and seasons of pressure. It is the fruit of the Spirit growing in places where the flesh once ruled.
Paul declares the Kingdom truth: you have been set free from sin. Sin is no longer your master. Freedom in Christ is never empty; it is filled with a new allegiance. You become a servant of righteousness, and in that service is life.
David’s journey reveals this. When he yielded to God’s conviction, he was restored. When he ignored it, he suffered the weight of his own choices. Yet every time he turned back, God met him with mercy and re-centered him in righteousness. True abundance is not independence from God, but dependence on Him.
Grounded In Faith
Father, like David, give me a heart that responds quickly to Your voice. Thank You for setting me free from sin and leading me into righteousness. Awaken my conscience to hear You clearly. Let Your Spirit produce abundant life within me—peace, joy, and holiness that honors You. Amen
