Genesis 15:5
“Look now toward heaven and count the stars… so shall your descendants be.”
Brew On This
Am I striving to understand God’s promise—or resting under the vastness of what He has already spoken?
Daily Devotional
The Stars
At Night
Abraham stood beneath a sky too vast to measure, and God spoke a promise too great to calculate. He did not give Abraham a timeline—He gave him a view. Because sometimes God does not explain the process; He expands the perspective.
David looked at that same kind of night sky and understood something sacred: God speaks through what feels impossible. The stars were a declaration. A king’s heart does not shrink under vastness—it rests in it.
Underneath a canopy of God’s glory, a promise becomes peace. Not striving, not grasping, but resting under what God has already spoken. Like lying beneath a blanket of stars, you realize you are not uncovered—you are under covenant.
There is an appointed rest under promise. A place where the soul stops wrestling and starts trusting. You are not under an empty sky—you are under a promise-filled heaven. And what God spoke over you is still unfolding above you.
Grounded In Faith
Father, lift my eyes to see Your promise like the stars. Quiet my striving and bring me into Your rest. Help me trust what You have spoken, even when I cannot measure it. I rest under Your covenant and believe You are faithful to fulfill every word over my life. Amen.
Pray-A-Latte
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
