Exodus 14:14

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Brew On This

Is there a battle you can give over to God today?

I Got You

This promise of the Lord echoes throughout scripture. Long before King David sat on a throne, David learned stillness in the presence of the Lord. As a shepherd, he waited. As a fugitive, he restrained himself. As a warrior, he inquired of the Lord before every battle. David understood something many miss: victory flows from listening, not rushing. If you feel like you’re scrambling—He’s got you. This is a promise to you and your children, and to their children.

David had the chance to take the throne by force when Saul hunted him, but he didn’t. Instead, David trusted God’s timing. His stillness wasn’t weakness, but confidence that the Lord was already fighting for him. Time and again, David watched God turn the tide, confuse the enemy, and bring victory without striving.

This same God who fought for Israel at the Red Sea fought for David in the valley—and He fights for you today. Being still doesn’t mean doing nothing; it means refusing to move without God. It’s choosing trust over panic and surrender over control.

Many battles feel urgent, but not every fight is yours to carry. When you stop striving, God steps in. When you listen, He leads. When you wait, He works.

The battle belongs to the Lord, and His victory is sure. The Lord is stepping in with a big, ”I got you!”

Grounded In Faith

Father, thank You for fighting my battles, forgive me for trying to carry what isn’t mine to carry.

Teach me to be still and know that you are God. Strengthen my faith to wait on You.

Lord, I release control and lean fully into Your promises. I choose stillness, I choose trust, and I choose to follow You. Amen.
