Your Heart Follows Your Focus

Here’s something I share often when it comes to the subject of the heart: Your heart always moves in the direction of what you honor. Jesus said your treasure and your heart are tied together—spiritually, emotionally, and prophetically.

If your priorities drift, your heart also drifts. If your treasure is scattered, your peace gets scattered with it. Stewarding the heart begins with stewarding priorities: time with the Lord, worship, generosity, healthy relationships, rest, and Kingdom purpose.

Your heart is constantly being trained by what you value. If you want a heart full of faith, invest your time and attention in the things of God. If you want a heart full of peace, steward your thoughts and align them with truth. If you want a heart full of Kingdom fire, put your treasure into Kingdom things. Where you aim your life is where your heart will eventually live.

Your heart is also prophetic. It leans into the future you’re preparing. When you put your treasure into Kingdom assignments, you’re prophesying where you intend to go. Heaven takes notice of that. The Lord meets you at the place of alignment, and suddenly your heart begins to burn for things you never cared about before. That’s the supernatural shift that happens when your priorities line up with His presence: your heart becomes a compass pointing straight toward your destiny.
