Crowned to Lead

When the Lord crowns you, His purpose goes beyond favor. It’s for function. You’ve been given authority to reign, and with that authority comes responsibility. Revelation 5:10 tells us we are kings and priests. That means we carry both natural and supernatural authority. Kings rule in the natural. Priests minister in the supernatural. And you, my friend, are called to do both. 

Now hear me: righteous leadership is all about stewardship. It’s not about lording over people; it’s about loving them well. It’s about speaking truth when it’s hard and walking in integrity when no one’s watching. You’re a king under the King. That means your leadership must reflect His heart. 

I’ve seen what happens when favor outruns character. Years ago, I found myself in a position of influence. Doors were opening, people were listening, and the favor of God was undeniable. But I hadn’t yet developed the discipline to steward that favor. I was showing up late, making excuses, and relying on charisma instead of commitment. The Lord convicted me: “Troy, I can’t bless what you won’t build with integrity.” That was a turning point. I realized that favor without character is a setup for failure. So, I went back to the basics: serving, showing up, and doing the hard work when no one was watching. That’s when the real blessing began.  

So today, I challenge you to lead like King Jesus. Lead with love. Speak with truth. Walk with integrity. Steward your crown well.
