TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

It’s time for you to have a divine appointment! What will you allow God to say through you in that moment that glorifies God?

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, PLEASE!

When you’re a drop-dead sold-out Jesus freak, opportunities you never dream of come your way. Some are amazingly orchestrated and leave you knowing God is good. Others just drop in your lap and you have to make the most of what you have.

On my second mission trip to Uganda, Leanna and I had a 16 hour layover in London, England – the land of tea and crumpets. To pass the time, we took the train downtown to gawk at all things British.

Standing on the street trying to make myself look right-left-right for oncoming traffic instead of left-right-left, I saw a police escort coming down the road toward me. There was a pretty sizable traffic jam and it caused the motorcade to stop directly in front of where I was standing.

Distracted by the obnoxious British siren, I finally looked into the back seat of the limousine closest to me. There, not five feet away, was the queen of England in the flesh!

I couldn’t believe it. She made eye contact with me and, in the split second I had to think, I did the only thing I could. I jumped forward, put my face nearly against her window and yelled, “Hey, Queen Elizabeth. Jesus loves you!”

Guards began to pour out of the surrounding cars to beat the liver out of the foreigner who was yelling at their beloved monarch. Traffic began to move and her driver sped her away from the crazy Yankee on the street.

Watching the queen drive away, I held my wife’s hand and muttered, “That was the queen, Leanna. I just got to preach to the queen.” It was a short sermon, yes, but it was the best I could come up with for the split second I had to work with.

Because of my obedience in going to Uganda, I had an opportunity – a very, very brief opportunity – to be on the right sidewalk in London at precisely the right time. You see, you will only do the great things God has called you to if you are willing to be the person He called you to be, and go to the places where you are needed. Your character and your destiny go hand in hand.

Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. – Psalms 119:105

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO SUBMIT TO THE LORD IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIVING. HE WILL PUT YOU IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME FOR THE RIGHT MIRACLE TO HAPPEN.
