2 Samuel 23:2
“The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and His word was on my tongue.”

What voice has been loudest in your life lately, and does it sound like the character and truth of God?

The Lion Speaks Tonight
There are a lot of voices roaring for our attention. Fear has a voice. Culture has a voice. The enemy certainly has one. But there is another voice. The Lion still speaks. David knew the voice of God because he spent years listening for it. Before battles, David repeatedly inquired of the Lord. David did not assume yesterday’s instruction was automatically today’s strategy. He asked again. That is a man learning to move with the Spirit.
God is not a formula; He is a Father. The Holy Spirit leads. Our responsibility is to respond. Get quiet. Open the Word. Pray. Listen. Test what you hear against Scripture. The Spirit of God will never contradict the Word of God. And when He speaks, obey. The Lion of Judah has not lost His voice. He is still directing His people. Tonight, tomorrow morning, and every day after that, make room to hear what the Spirit is saying.
Grounded In Faith
Holy Spirit, teach me to recognize Your voice. Quiet fear, distraction, and every competing sound that keeps me from hearing You clearly. Lead me through Your Word and give me discernment to recognize truth. I do not want to live from yesterday’s instruction. Speak into today’s assignment and give me courage to obey quickly when You lead. Let my life move in step with You. Amen.
