Psalm 121:1-2

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”

Brew On This

What unnecessary weight are you carrying that may be making your current mountain harder to climb?

Daily Devotional

Sky Rocketing

Perspective changes with elevation. Moses met God on Sinai. Elijah confronted false prophets on Carmel. Jesus was transfigured on a mountain. He often withdrew to mountains to pray. Mountains can represent obstacles, but they can also become places of encounter and revelation. The mountain in front of you may not merely be something to move. It may be something God intends to use.

We love the idea of sky rocketing upward, but elevation has requirements. Climbers travel differently than people strolling through flat country. They pay attention. They remove unnecessary weight. Spiritually, some of us are trying to climb while dragging things God told us to leave at base camp.

Sometimes faith moves the mountain. Sometimes faith gives you strength to climb it. Either way, your help comes from the Lord.

Grounded In Faith

Father, lift my eyes above the mountain and toward You. Give me faith for obstacles that must move and endurance for mountains I must climb. Show me what weight I need to release along the way. Replace fear with courage and confusion with perspective. My help comes from You, Maker of heaven and earth. Lead me higher until I can see this season through Your eyes. Amen.
