John 10:27

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

What distractions might be keeping you from hearing the gentle voice of the Shepherd
today?

Daily Devotional

In the Whisper

Before the birds begin their morning chorus, there’s a moment on the ranch when the world
becomes wonderfully still. The wind pauses. The cattle settle. Even the trees seem to hold
their breath. It’s so quiet you can hear leather creak against an old saddle. Most folks rush past those moments. David leaned into them.

Long before he ever led a nation, he learned to be alone with God. Somewhere between
tending sheep and writing songs beneath the stars, David discovered a beautiful secret:
the Lord often speaks softly. Why? Because whispers require closeness.

The Shepherd has never needed to shout at His sheep. They recognize His voice because
they’ve spent time with Him. Our world is noisy. Opinions compete for our attention. Notifications demand our focus.

Beneath all the commotion, the voice of the Good Shepherd remains steady, faithful, and full of peace. Friend, if Heaven seems silent, perhaps the invitation isn’t to search harder; it may simply be to become quieter. Turn off the noise. Open His Word. Sit with Him awhile.
You may discover that the answer you’ve been praying for Sounds like a whisper.

Grounded In Faith

Father, quiet my heart so I can recognize Your voice above every distraction. Teach me to treasure Your presence more than my agenda and Your peace more than my answers.
Draw me close enough to hear even Your whispers, and help me faithfully follow wherever You lead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray-A-Latte

Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.
