The Hidden Place of Faithfulness
David was just a boy when the prophet Samuel poured oil over his head. He didn’t look like
a king, and he certainly didn’t carry himself like a battle-tested warrior. He still smelled like
sheep and spent his days watching over his father’s flock. Yet Heaven saw what no one
else could see. Before David ever stood before Goliath, he stood before God.
The world celebrates heroes after they’ve won the battle. Heaven celebrates them while they’re still faithfully tending sheep.
Never despise small beginnings. The Lord isn’t looking for polished résumés; He’s looking
for surrendered hearts.
Every hero of faith first learned obedience in places no one applauded. Don’t mistake ordinary for insignificant. God is still raising
heroes in quiet places.
Grounded In Faith
Father, thank You for seeing what others overlook. Teach me to value the hidden places
where my character is formed. Grow courage in me as I walk with You each day. Help me
trust Your timing, Your training, and Your purpose. May I always remain Your child before I
ever become Your warrior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
