Love Lifted Me

“He lifted me out of the pit… and set my feet on a rock.” David knew what it meant to be pulled out by the hand of God. This is the heartbeat of the Beloved—one who is not abandoned in the low place, but rescued by covenant love that refuses to let go. 

That’s what love does—it rescues, it stands firm, it pulls you up when everything in you feels like staying down. It doesn’t just comfort you in the pit; it reaches in and brings you out. David had his share of deep valleys—pits of fear, despair, and struggle—but he also carried a testimony that changed everything: God lifted him. Love didn’t simply visit him in the darkness; it delivered him from it. 

Kings remember their rescue. The Beloved never forgets the hand that saved them. They don’t live in the pit, but they also don’t erase the memory of it—because it becomes the foundation of gratitude and unshakable faith. “He put a new song in my mouth…” 

That’s what love does—it changes your sound. When God lifts you, He rewrites your story into a declaration of His goodness. What once was a cry becomes a song. What once was survival becomes worship. And your breakthrough is never just personal—it becomes a witness to everyone watching your life unfold.
