When the Glory Falls
David finally had the Ark in Jerusalem. This was the visible representation of the presence of God coming into the heart of the kingdom. When the manifest presence of God becomes real to us, religion becomes relationship. Routine becomes wonder.
We can know about God without recognizing when God is moving among us. We can become so accustomed to church, Scripture, songs, and spiritual language that holy things begin feeling ordinary. Friends, don’t become so familiar with the things of God that you stop being amazed by the presence of God. Make room.
Open the gates. The King of Glory is coming in.
Grounded In Faith
Holy Spirit, awaken fresh wonder in me. Forgive me for treating Holy things as ordinary. Teach me to recognize Your movement and honor Your presence. Remove performance, distraction, and familiarity that dulls my heart. I don’t simply want information about You; I want fellowship with You. Come and take Your rightful place in every part of my life. Amen.
