1 Samuel 30:1819

So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking.”

What have you assumed was permanently lost that God may be telling you to pursue again?

Take Back the Camp

Ziklag was burning. Families were gone. Possessions were gone. And David’s own men were talking about stoning him. That’s a bad day, folks. David wept until he had no strength left to weep. Then Scripture gives us one of the greatest turnaround sentences in the Bible: “But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.” Before David recovered the camp, God recovered David.

David didn’t deny reality; he cried. Then he got up. He sought God. He received instruction. And then he pursued. David asked, “Shall I pursue?” God answered, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” That’s overcoming victory. So strengthen yourself in the Lord. Ask for instructions. Then move. Ziklag may be smoking behind you. But the story isn’t over. There’s still a camp to take back.

Grounded In Faith

Father, strengthen me in You when circumstances have emptied my strength. Meet me honestly in grief, then show me when it is time to rise. Give me clear instruction about what to pursue and what to release. Restore courage, joy, purpose, and everything You desire redeemed. I refuse to let devastation write the final chapter. You are the God of victory. Amen.

Pray-A-Latte

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
