In the Midst
Heaven continually testifies that God is present and shows up. Even when it seems like He
shows up in the nick of time. It seems that David discovered this truth while hiding in the
Cave of Adullam. It became the very place where God gathered mighty men around David and transformed broken lives into courageous warriors. God often performs His greatest work in the middle of uncertainty; He establishes peace.
The middle can feel confusing because it doesn’t resemble the destination. But don’t mistake God’s silence for His absence. The Lord who stood beside David in the
cave is standing beside you today. He is witnessing your tears, strengthening your resolve, and writing a story far greater than you can presently imagine.
The cave was never David’s destination. It was Heaven’s classroom. Sometimes God does His deepest work before He does His greatest work
Grounded In Faith
Father, thank You for never leaving me alone.
Be my faithful witness in every
uncertain season.
Open my eyes to recognize Your presence in the middle of the journey, and give me courage to trust You even when I cannot yet see the whole story. Amen.
