Promises, Promises
If you’ve ever stood beneath a Texas sky on a clear summer night, you’ve seen what
Abraham saw. Stars. More stars than you can count. When God made His covenant with Abraham, He told him his descendants would be as numerous as those stars. Hundreds of years later, David looked up at that same sky and realized he was living inside a promise spoken long before he was born.
The fear of the Lord has a way of changing our perspective. Instead of asking, “What do I
want?” we begin asking, “Lord, what will honor You?” That kind of reverence produces freedom. It reminds us that our lives are connected to something far bigger than ourselves.
Your prayers matter to your grandchildren. Your integrity becomes someone else’s inheritance. Your faithfulness plants trees you’ll never sit beneath.
Grounded In Faith
Lord, let my life bring honor to Your name.
Teach me to walk in holy reverence,
knowing my obedience reaches beyond my own lifetime.
Bless the generations that follow, and
help me leave behind a legacy of faith, courage, and unwavering trust in You.
