Favor with the Courts
Before David ever wore a crown, David learned to follow the Chief Shepherd. Years of waiting, the wilderness, and the warfare shaped his heart long before they established his throne. When he finally became king, Scripture says he ruled with justice and righteousness. Though he was far from perfect, David knew that authority was never given to exalt himself. It was entrusted to him to serve God’s people.
Every kingdom is known by its government.
God’s government is perfect. Every decision that comes from His throne is rooted in perfect righteousness and everlasting love. Because of Jesus, we are not outsiders standing at the courtroom door hoping to be heard. We are sons and daughters of the Most High God.
Jesus has given us access to the Father, and we can come boldly before His throne of grace. We do not approach His courts based on our own goodness, but through the finished work of Jesus. The enemy may stand to accuse, but the Blood of Jesus has already spoken.
Grounded In Faith
Lord Jesus, rule over every part of my life.
Where there is confusion, establish Your peace.
Where fear has ruled, let Your truth reign.
Teach me to lead with humility, love, and justice in every relationship You’ve entrusted to me.
Thank You for being the righteous King who
never fails. Amen.
