When Samuel arrived in Bethlehem, no one imagined that a forgotten shepherd boy would one day shape the destiny of a nation. Yet God saw beyond the pasture. While others looked at David’s present, God was looking at his legacy.
In the hidden places, David was cultivating something greater than success. Those seeds would bear fruit not only in his lifetime, but for generations to come. The giant he defeated became a testimony. The kingdom he established became a foundation. The songs he wrote still lead others to the heart of God thousands of years later. And through his
kingly bloodline came the King Jesus, the savior of the world.
The Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This fruit is the beautiful evidence of a life connected to God. When we remain rooted in Christ, our lives begin to produce something that outlives us.
Grounded In Faith
Father, help me remain firmly rooted in You.
Grow Your character within me and produce fruit that brings glory to Your name.
Teach me to value faithfulness over recognition and obedience over applause.
Let my life leave a good report that points others toward Your goodness.
