The Cloud of Witnesses
Long before David stepped into the Valley of Elah, faithful men and women had been walking with God, building altars, trusting promises, and leaving
footprints of faith for others to follow. Abraham trusted God when he couldn’t see the destination. Moses led when the odds looked impossible. Joshua marched around walls that logic said would never fall. Each life became a testimony that God is faithful.
David joined that great procession. His witness still speaks today. We remember the shepherd who faced giants, the worshiper who danced before the Lord, and the king who repented when he failed. His life reminds us that God uses imperfect people who keep returning to Him.
The testimony of the cloud of witnesses declares, “God was faithful to us, and He will be faithful to you.” Your life is becoming a witness, too. One day, someone may stand stronger because they saw you refused to quit. Keep running your race.
Grounded In Faith
Lord, thank You for the faithful witnesses who have gone before me.
Strengthen my
heart to run my race with endurance and joy.
Help me leave a legacy of faith, courage, and
obedience.
Let my life point others toward Your goodness and Your faithfulness.
