What are you building your life around? What are you digging toward?

The Great Treasure Hunt
There is a holy tension in the human heart. We are all digging for something. Some dig for success. Some dig for approval. Some dig for security, pleasure, or control. But Jesus cuts through every layer of human striving and reveals a Kingdom reality: you always find what you’re truly digging for.
The question is not are you digging? The question is what are you digging for?
David understood this. He was a king surrounded by earthly treasure, yet his soul refused to settle. He wrote, “One thing I desire…” one consuming pursuit: the presence of God. He knew that the manifest presence of the Lord is the true treasure that every human heart is searching for, even when it doesn’t know how to name it.
Jesus said it plainly: where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. That means your heart is always moving toward what you value most.
The manifest presence of God is not a side pursuit. It is the hidden treasure in the field. It is the pearl of great price. It is the glory that outshines everything else that once demanded your attention. God is not only calling you to find Him. He is drawing your heart back to Himself. He is after your affection, not your performance. Your heart is his treasure, and His presence is ours. Seek it then, and, by all means, protect it.
Grounded In Faith
Lord, redirect my heart from lesser treasures to Your presence. Forgive me for digging in empty places. Draw me back to the treasure of Your manifest glory. Let my heart be anchored in You alone. Teach me to seek what lasts forever and to love what You love. Amen.
Pray-A-Latte
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
