Romans 6:17
“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.”
Brew On This
Am I still living like I’m bound—or am I fully embracing the freedom Christ has already given me?
Daily Devotional
Victory in Jesus
There is a before and after in every life touched by Jesus. Before Christ, we were bound. Scripture does not soften the truth: we were slaves to sin. Not occasionally influenced, not mildly affected, but under its rule. The flesh dictated direction, desire, and decisions. And without Christ, that was our reality. But then comes the turning point—“thanks be to God.”
Transformation begins when the heart responds to truth. Not surface correction, but inward surrender. A shift of allegiance. A holy exchange where what once ruled you no longer defines you. This is redemption. Not just forgiveness of the past, but freedom from its power. And Jesus makes it unmistakably clear: “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Not partially free. Not conditionally free. Completely free.
The flesh must be redeemed, not obeyed. It no longer sits on the throne of your identity. In Christ, you are given a new nature, a new authority, and a new way to live—led by the Spirit, anchored in truth, alive in grace.
Grounded In Faith
Lord, thank You for setting me free from sin and giving me new life in You. Transform my heart daily to walk in truth. Help me reject the pull of the flesh and live by Your Spirit. I receive my freedom and choose to walk in it fully. Thank You—I am free indeed. Amen.
Pray-A-Latte
I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
