Romans 12:1
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
Brew On This
What part of my flesh is God inviting me to place on the altar so He can redeem and transform it?

Laying It Down
David understood altars. He built them in fields, caves, and conquered lands. Every altar cost him something—but it always brought him closer to God. He knew that sacrifice wasn’t about loss, but encounter.
But David also understood something deeper—the tension of the flesh. The weakness of humanity. The pull toward pride, fear, and failure. Yet every time he came to the altar, something holy happened: redemption met him there. What was broken in the flesh became restored in the presence of God.
King Jesus overcome by death, and became the ultimate living sacrifice, not in weakness, but in authority, love, and divine purpose. He made a way for the flesh of man to no longer rule, but to be surrendered and renewed.
Paul calls us into that same reality: “Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.” This is the great exchange—where your weakness meets His strength, where your flesh is surrendered, and His Spirit takes over.
Grounded In Faith
Father, I lay my life before You as a living sacrifice. Redeem every part of me. Teach me to walk in Your strength, not my own. Transform my weakness into purpose, and lead me in freedom, surrender, and new life through You. Amen.
