Isaiah 6:6

“Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand…”

Brew On This

Am I resisting God’s refining fire—or allowing Him to purify me for my calling?

Daily Devotional

The Coal and the Calling

Isaiah’s vision does not begin with comfort—it begins with confrontation. He sees the holiness of God, and in that moment, he becomes deeply aware of his own unworthiness. He cries out, undone in the presence of divine perfection. But heaven does not reveal sin to shame him—it reveals it to transform him.

A coal from the altar is placed upon his lips. Fire touches failure. Purity touches impurity. And what was once unclean is now being prepared for calling. Purification always precedes commissioning.

The sinful nature cannot stand in the presence of divine assignment. But here is the good news—Jesus Christ has already provided the greater coal. His blood covers a multitude of sin. What Isaiah experienced in the Spirit, we receive through the finished work of the Cross.

You are not disqualified by what you were. You are being refined for what you are called to become. The fire of God is sent to distinguish you. To remove what cannot go into your next assignment. To prepare your voice for Kingdom purpose.

Grounded In Faith

Father, thank You for Your cleansing fire that does not destroy me but prepares me.

I receive the finished work of Jesus’ blood that covers my sin and calls me into purpose.

Purify my heart, refine my life, and prepare my voice for Your Kingdom.

I surrender to Your process. Amen.

Pray-A-Latte

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. Mark 11:24 NLT
