“Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so is my beloved…”

Am I willing to step away from the noise to find the hidden place where true intimacy with God grows?

Under the Apple Tree— The Faithful Witness
David was no stranger to intimacy with God. He was more than a warrior—he was a faithful witness. Loyal. Near. Attentive to the heart of God. He understood that the truest strength of a king is not proven in battle, but in closeness.
In a world full of noise, striving, and sameness, the presence of God is like that apple tree—rich, nourishing, and deeply personal. Those who do discover fruit, will discover the fruit that satisfies every longing of the soul.
This is the sacred place of abiding—where performance falls away, and presence takes over. A place of loyalty, where you return again and again, not out of duty, but desire. Here, intimacy is formed. Here, you become a faithful witness—not by striving, but by staying.
David chose the hidden place. He tasted the fruit of God’s goodness and carried that reality into every battlefield and every song. Under the apple tree, identity is restored. Love is received. Peace settles in, and a faithful witness becomes rooted and grounded.
Grounded In Faith
Lord, lead me into the hidden place of Your presence.
Help me find and remain under Your covering, where true fruit is found.
Make me a faithful witness—loyal and close to Your heart.
Teach me to treasure intimacy with You above all else.
I choose to seek You and stay. Amen.
