The Oil Spill
When Samuel anointed David, the oil ran over his head and overflowed, marking a life chosen by God and set apart for His purpose. The Oil of The Lord represents the power, presence, and purpose of God. It is the manifest Spirit of God revealed in and through a yielded life. And when the manifest Spirit of God rests upon a person, it does not remain hidden—it manifests like oil in the natural realm: flowing, saturating, and overflowing until it cannot be contained.
But this oil is never produced on the surface. It is released in the hidden place of crushing, pressing, and surrender. What feels like pressure is preparation. God is not wasting your seasons—He is positioning you for greater manifestations of His Spirit.
He is positioning for overflow. And when the oil flows, it does not stay contained. It spills. It spreads. It marks everything it touches with the manifest presence of God.
Atmospheres shift under His glory. Chains break under His authority. What was once dry begins to live again under the move of His Spirit. You may have felt the pressing, but Heaven sees the pouring. You may have felt the weight, but God is preparing revelation and release.
Don’t resist the process that produces presence. Let the Holy Spirit flow. Let the anointing increase. Let your life become a vessel for the manifest presence of God. Because when the oil spills it reveals His Glory!
Grounded in Faith
Lord, pour out Your manifest Spirit upon my life like overflowing oil.
In my crushing, release Your presence and power.
Let every dry place come alive under Your anointing.
May my life spill with Your glory, purpose, and presence today.
