I Owe It All to Him

I’ve known a lot of people with crazy gifts and talents. Athletes, musicians, artists, brainiacs – God has blessed us each with some incredible gift. Yet the saddest thing I’ve ever seen is the gifted squandering their talent for their own glory. They’ve got a case of “It’s all about me!”

You and I were not created to keep our skills and blessings to ourselves, using them to please and honor ourselves. If you think God wants too much of your time, money, or talents, I have some news for you – you are sadly mistaken!

You see, your life is not yours. It was created by God – He owns it. It was redeemed by Jesus – He paid the price for it.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own…” 1 Corinthians 6:19

If your life belongs to God, He can use it as He pleases, so ask what His plan and purpose is for you. It’s always better than the destiny you envision for yourself – always.

If you are created in God’s image, you are not only eternal like He is, but you are a servant just like Him! The Word makes it clear: you are to have a ministry within the church and a mission outside of it. If you don’t, get moving! This is what you were created for!
