As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him. Matthew 9:9 NLT
No Matter What
Living with a covenant mentality is living with a Jesus mentality. It will keep you close to God so you don’t wander off the reservation.
A covenant mentality says, “I have hope no matter what because my God will never forsake me.” In fact, He is constantly working for your benefit!
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
Based on the covenant between you and Jesus, you can come to these conclusions:
- – You are who He says you are, no matter what.
- – You are blessed no matter what.
- – You are headed into better places no matter what.
- – You are loved no matter what.
- – You are part of His family, no matter what, and it’s not because of you! It’s because of your covenant with Him! He’s a covenant keeper.
Your covenant with God, through Jesus Christ, guarantees you are headed into bigger and better things. It is not His will, or His covenant, that you would regress, worsen, or decay in any way except in laying down your life so you can put Him first.
If you do this, you will continually advance. Are you advancing? If you’re not, it’s time to consider a change in your mental state. Covenant will change every part of your relationship with Jesus for the better!
Grounded in Faith
Declare!
I know God will never leave me nor forsake me. I trust that God’s got my back, no matter how things look in the natural. He is a faithful, covenant-keeping God, and that gives me assurance and hope for everything in my life. I will fearlessly advance as He leads me.
