SPREAD GOOD NEWS
Have you ever told ghost stories – creepy, scary, keep-you-up-at-night, full-of-fear stories? Why? But have you ever told ghost stories? Stories of strength and goodness – help-you-sleep stories. Help you live stories. Stories that don’t give up the ghost but bring the Holy Ghost. Stories of the power and magnitude of God and the Holy Ghost. Stories that bring Heaven down. Stories that change the atmosphere. Holy Ghost Stories.
I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17:20-21 NKJV
Jesus prayed this prayer over all of us who believe in Him. This is still the desire of His heart today.
The devil, however, is an opportunist who will do anything to prevent that. He’s looking for you to entertain things in your mind and step further and further away from the truth. Also to step further and further away from the presence of God. He wants that so that he can deceive you and own you. If you don’t tell him no, and if you don’t stop the madness, nobody else is going to do that for you.
The Bible defines the kind of paranoia where you’re jumpy all the time, and you’re thinking worst-case scenarios and that something’s going to get you. It is defined in Proverbs 28:1 as a curse, and this is what it says: You shall flee when none pursues you. You’ll be scared something’s after you all the time. A lot of the entertainment that we watch today is all about it’s going to get you. Do not entertain yourself with that. It will open a door to hell within your life.
What will you focus on? What will you spread to those around you? Focus on Jesus, His ways, His words, and His Kingdom agenda. The thoughts He gives you will entertain and delight you and those around you!
Declaration: I am a child of God who is one with Father God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. There is no room in my life to let evil stories entertain me and those around me. I am focused on the things above and not the things below. Peace rules in my soul.
