TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I Am a God who never changes. Your circumstances will, often. Continually seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I will direct your path. It’s up to you to follow it. If you’re not sure, ask Me.

CHANGE ISN’T ALWAYS BAD

Let me tell you, on the other side of your Promised Land is a new experience. There is something in the Lord you’ve never tasted, something that you’ve never experienced or something that didn’t happen in your wilderness experience that is waiting. These are things that only happen once you cross into the Promised Land, like this:

“And they ate the produce of the land on the day after the Passover, unleavened bread and parched grain, on the very same day. Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land: and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan.” – Joshua 5:11-12

This is where the microphone drops because eating something that wasn’t directly, miraculously provided by God was a game-changer. Boom!

The manna ceased. Once they entered the Promised Land, the way they’d always lived stopped and they had no choice but to move forward. I think about that so often. What that must have been like when the manna ceased? They didn’t know how it was there, they didn’t even know what it was, but it was there every day and they depended on it.

One day, the same set of rules that they had always lived by, ceased. They woke up and the manna that had been on the ground for forty years for them had stopped. I can imagine some people must have thought that God must have taken a day off and that it’d be back tomorrow.

But it wasn’t there the next day. The next day they were really hungry. I imagine that by the third day, they figured it’s really not here and the way they’d always done things couldn’t be counted on anymore.

That happens every time you cross a Jordan and go into your Promised Land. All of a sudden, a bunch of people who were with you are no longer with you. Or the way you’ve always done things just doesn’t work anymore. You went from having things figured out to nothing being figured out, and God points to the Promised Land and says, ‘Sic ‘em!” Brother Timothy said it this way:

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power and of love and a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7

Don’t be afraid of change. Embrace it! Run into your Promised Land. It’s better, I promise.
