TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

I have a plan for you – a territory for you to inhabit and a purpose in that territory. Do you want it? Praise Me. Thank Me for the gift your life is. Listen to what I have to say about you. You are the apple of My eye. I love you forever.

CHANGE YOUR BORDERS

Tribe is connected to territory. That’s God’s idea. It means the people you are connected to are part of the assignment God has called you to.

On a more basic level, when God divided up the Promised Land among the 12 tribes, He gave certain territories to specific tribes. This is a picture of how it works in the Kingdom – a natural representation of the supernatural.

Let’s imagine the Promised Land is your life. Your life definitely has borders. It’s got a beginning, an end, and every one of the tribes represent an important part of your walk with God.

The tribe of Judah is all about praise and thankfulness. They were the singers and musicians, and they were not a bunch of pansies. God actually had them lead the Israelites into battle time and time again. Judah has the largest territory because praise and thanksgiving is supposed to be a huge part of your walk. Too many Christians only give a tiny closet to Judah.

Simeon is a circle and it’s completely surrounded by Judah. Simeon means “hearing” and represents you hearing the Word of God. It represents your faith and “faith cometh by hearing.” When you see the map, you see a picture of hearing God speak by entering into His presence through praise and thanksgiving – Judah and Simeon.

That’s how your personal territory is supposed to be too.

The second largest territory belongs to Joseph’s oldest son, Manasseh who received a double portion. Manasseh means “the Lord has caused me to forget.” That means “I don’t live according to my history. I live according to my destiny.” That’s supposed to be a huge part of your territory too.

How big a part do praise, thanksgiving, and hearing God play in your life? Are you too bogged down with your history to go after your destiny? Change your borders! Give more territory – time and attention – to the things that move you to your destiny.

“You shall not move your neighbor’s boundary mark, which the ancestors have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the LORD your God gives you to possess.” – Deuteronomy 19:14
