TODAY’S PROPHETIC WORD

You have put in the work—planted and sown seeds, and now the harvest is ready. See the multiplication of your efforts as God begins to move and showers grace on your efforts.

MIRACLES OF PROVISION

Though miracles are great and you should go after them when you need them, they are not the best way for God to prosper you. Needing a miracle means you have a problem you can’t solve, so God must step in.

There are two main ways God prospers us: “Seed, Time and Harvest” (hard work and reward) and “Miracles of Provision.”

The principle of Seed, Time and Harvest is to plant a seed (planning and hard work), give it time to grow (more hard work) and reaping the benefits (using the increase to better your position and be a crazy giver).

Miracles of provision are quite different. Let’s look at three famous biblical miracles of provision.

Taking the five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
– Luke 12:16-17

I would have loved to see the miracle of feeding the 5,000. The food just kept coming, out of thin air! The message in that miracle is that it only happened in a life or death situation. Been there?

For this is what the Lord of Israel says, “the barrel of meal shall not empty, neither shall the jug of oil run dry until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.
–1 Kings 17:14

Because of an incredible miracle of provision, this poor widow made a mint while the rest of the nation was in a great depression. In a do or die situation, she fed Elijah, herself and her son, and made a profit, through several years of famine. The message in this miracle is this: during the famine, God prospered her miraculously and set her up to prosper after the famine.

And the children of Israel ate manna for 40 years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came to the borders of the land of Canaan.
– Exodus 16:35

The Hebrew people were miraculously fed by God every morning for 40 years. That miracle stopped the day after they entered the Promised Land. The message in the miracle? Living from miracle to miracle is not God’s best for you. Move on to your promised land and plan, plant, nurture and harvest through hard work and generosity!

TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO RECOGNIZE THAT MIRACLES ARE GOD’S WAY OF HELPING US IN VERY DESPERATE TIMES. IF YOU NEED A MIRACLE OF PROVISION, ASK FOR IT AND TRUST THAT GOD HAS BETTER FOR YOU THROUGH HARD WORK AND REWARD.
