Song of Solomon 6:3
“I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.”
Brew On This
How would your choices change if you truly believed you were already deeply loved by God before accomplishing anything today?
Daily Devotional
Wake Up
Many believers live like spiritual employees trying to keep the Boss happy. Work harder. Pray longer. Perform better. Maybe God will approve. But the Gospel brings us into relationship. Before Jesus performed one miracle or preached one sermon, the Father spoke over Him at baptism.
“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Beloved came before public ministry.
Identity came before assignment. If you do not know you are loved, you will spend your life trying to make people give you what only God can securely provide. When your heart awakens to the love of God, something steadies. You can serve without needing applause. You can obey without needing recognition. You can receive correction without believing you have become worthless. You can love others without demanding they fill every empty place.
Wake up, beloved. You do not need to audition for a place at the Father’s table. Jesus already made the way. Receive His love. Then go live like someone who knows where they belong.
Grounded In Faith
Father, awaken my heart to the truth that I am loved by You. Break the habit of striving for approval and performing for acceptance. Root my identity in what Jesus has done rather than what others think of me. Teach me to serve from love instead of for love. Let security in Your affection make me humble, courageous, generous, and free. I receive my place with You. Amen.
Pray-A-Latte
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7 NLT
