John 1:16

“And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.”

Brew On This

Are you living discouraged by what has not happened yet, or faithfully preparing for what God could change suddenly?

Daily Devotional

Unexpected Suddenlies

God has a way of suddenly changing things. Joseph woke up one morning as a prisoner and went to sleep that night as second in command over Egypt. David left home carrying lunch and returned having defeated a giant. The disciples gathered in an upper room, and suddenly there came a sound from Heaven like a rushing mighty wind. Suddenlies happen. But what looks sudden to us has often been developing in God’s plan for a very long time. Grace prepares us before grace promotes us.

Grace upon grace. Yesterday’s grace carried you yesterday. There is fresh grace for today. The important thing is staying ready to recognize the hand of God when circumstances shift. Do not become so disappointed with waiting that you miss the moment the door opens.

Live faithfully in the ordinary. Stay humble. Stay prepared. Keep your heart near God. Grace has already brought you this far.

Grounded In Faith

Father, thank You for grace upon grace. Help me remain faithful in ordinary seasons and prepared for every opportunity You send. Keep disappointment from dulling my expectation. Give me wisdom to recognize Your hand when circumstances change suddenly. I trust Your timing, Your provision, and Your plan. Whatever tomorrow brings, I believe fresh grace will already be waiting for me when I arrive. Amen.
