Psalm 19:1
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.”
Brew On This
What has God placed in your hands that you have been hesitant to create, build, develop, or begin?
Daily Devotional
Out of
the Park
God does not do mediocre creation. Look around. Mountains. Oceans. Galaxies. Thunderstorms. Whirlwinds, Bluebonnets. Eagles. Human fingerprints. A baby’s heartbeat. Creation itself looks like God stepped up to the plate and knocked it clean out of the park.
Genesis tells us that God spoke and things were made. Light appeared. Waters divided. Dry land emerged. Stars filled the heavens. Then God formed man from the dust and breathed life into him. You were made by a Creator. That means creativity is not some strange side note in the Kingdom. It reflects something about the One whose image we bear.
It means taking what God has placed in your hands and making something useful, beautiful, life-giving, or good from it. The enemy loves to tell people they have nothing to offer. Nonsense. If God placed an idea in you, steward it. If He gave you a gift, develop it. If He handed you raw material, build something.
Grounded In Faith
Creator God, thank You for making me in Your image and placing gifts within me. Awaken creativity, courage, and excellence in everything You have called me to build. Keep me from comparison and fear. Teach me to faithfully use what is in my hands. May the work of my life reflect Your goodness and cause others to recognize the beauty of the One who made us. Amen.
