2 Samuel 6:14
“And David danced before the LORD with all his might.”

What season might God be asking you to celebrate, complete, and finally release?
Daily Devotional
The Last Dance
David danced because the Ark was coming home. The presence of God was finally being brought into Jerusalem according to God’s order. This time, David did it right. And when he saw the Ark coming, the king danced.
There is something beautiful about praise on the other side of a completed season. We spend a lot of time asking God to begin things, but sometimes we forget to celebrate when He finishes them. You survived it. You learned from it. You grew through it. You prayed when you did not understand it. And somehow, by the grace of God, you have arrived at the other side. Dance. Completion does not always mean everything ended the way you expected. Sometimes completion means God finished something in you. The battle may have changed your priorities. The wilderness may have deepened your prayer life. The disappointment may have broken an unhealthy attachment. The waiting may have taught you trust. What looked like an ending may have completed the very work God intended. David was not dancing because his life had been perfect. His story certainly proves otherwise. He danced because God had been faithful.
Maybe this is the last dance of an old season. Good. Give God praise for what was. Thank Him for what He taught you. Then let the music stop. There are times when Heaven closes one song because the King is preparing to play another. Finish well. Praise deeply. Then get ready for the next song.
Grounded In Faith
Father, thank You for bringing me through every season You have completed. Help me recognize when something has fulfilled its purpose and give me grace to release it without regret. I praise You for what You taught me, what You removed, and what You restored. Finish every good work You have begun in me, and prepare my heart for the new song ahead. Amen.
