Won’t Back Down
Before Israel became one kingdom under David’s leadership, there were divided loyalties, competing houses, old wounds, and plenty of reasons for people to remain separated. Yet God’s plan was one people under one King. Unity does not mean everybody looks alike, thinks alike, or carries the same assignment. The tribes of Israel were distinct, but they shared a covenant. In the same way, the Body of Christ is filled with different gifts, personalities, callings, and backgrounds, but we belong to one Lord.
Unity sometimes requires humility. Sometimes it requires a conversation. Sometimes it means laying down our need to be right so that something greater can remain whole. Jesus prayed that His people would be one. That makes it Kingdom business. So when division comes knocking, stand your ground. Love fiercely. Forgive quickly. We belong to one King, and on that truth, we won’t back down.

Father, make us one as You desire us to be one. Remove pride, offense, competition, and division from my heart. Teach me to honor others without needing to agree on everything. Give me courage to protect covenant, pursue peace, and forgive quickly. Let my life strengthen the Body rather than divide it. Jesus, You are our King, and we choose unity under Your name. Amen.
