Psalm 9:11

“Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people.”

What atmosphere are your words creating around you?

Daily Devotional

Blow the Trumpet

Throughout Scripture, trumpets announced movement, battle, celebration, coronation, and the arrival of the king. Sound preceded action. David understood the power of declaration. Read the Psalms and you’ll discover a man constantly telling his soul, his enemies, and his nation, what God had done and what God would do.

“I will bless the LORD.”

“I will sing.”

“I will declare.”

David didn’t merely think praise, he released it. God created the heavens and earth through His spoken word. “Then God said…” and what had not existed suddenly existed. Words create atmospheres. They build courage or cultivate fear. They establish agreement with truth or agreement with lies.

David didn’t wait until every enemy disappeared before he wrote songs. You don’t need perfect circumstances to make a Kingdom sound. Lift your voice. Blow the trumpet in Zion! The King is coming!

Grounded In Faith

Lord, put Your truth in my mouth.

Forgive me for speaking fear where You have spoken promise.

Teach me to declare Your goodness, praise You in difficult places, and create an atmosphere that welcomes Your presence.

Let my words bring courage, life, hope, and truth wherever You send me.

May my voice always announce the goodness of my King. Amen.

Pray-A-Latte

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
